Problem with rear firing bass port
That is a great deal! In a perfect world you would have the room for them.Soliloquys really need some breathing room. They are some great speakers ,I hope your room will allow you to enjoy them. And please don't hook them to a reciever, they are rut...

Any one using the new Quad CDP 99 or the 99 Preamp
What's up Sammie, Redhuskie is right on the money.I think I was probably one of the first people in the United States to own one.Serial # 36. I'am glad I got mine when I did if there's a 3 month waiting list! Excellent player and very neutral.Put ...
How good is the Cary 308?
I have compared the Cary 308 and the Rega Planet 2000 also.No contest! The Cary is just more musical all the way around.I did a comparison on audioreview and recieved hate mail from Rega Planet 2000 owners.Oh Well!!!!
Tube poweramp for B&W Nautilus for under 2k?
Put the Music Reference RM9 MK2(125 wpc) on your short list.It can be had for less than $2000.00 and will slap those B&Ws around like red headed step children.
Music Reference RM200 or David Berning ZH270?
I haven't heard the Berning. But own the Music Reference RM9 MK2 and simply put it does one thing Amplify the signal. If you don't like the sound than it's upstream. This amp seems to have no signature at all.I talked to Mr.Modjeski about it and the ...

I really can't agree with the saying you have to pay double to get better.I listened to some Meadowlark Swifts on the same set up.It was a day and night difference.I could easily pickout the position of the musicians and singers in the soundstage....

1439bhr it sounds kinda flat. And the imaging was way off.I'am used to hearing Cassandra Wilson center stage 4 to 5 feet off the floor on one of her recordings. She sounded like she was two feet off the floor next to the left speaker.I could hear th...

I have heard the Platinum PSB's on a all VTL setup. And it is nothing to write home about.Imagining is vague and the soundstage was flat.Maybe this was the VTL gear I really don't know. But it was really disapointing.Hope this helps.
just how good are soliloquy 6.3
I use my 6.3s in a 12x12x8 room and have no problems with bass. These speakers are only as good as the components infront.I use mine with a Music Reference RM9 MK2 tube amp and Quad 99 CD-P as the source.Cabling is VooDoo Reference ICS and Bluetrut...
Meadowlark Swift vs. Soliloquy vs. Concertinos
I guess as far as the power conditioning goes it depends, which ever pleases you most.I can't tell the difference with my amp being plugged into a power conditioner but my cd-p is a different story.Yeap that's what I heard with the Swifts, they were...
Meadowlark Swift vs. Soliloquy vs. Concertinos
I heard some Meadowlarks just the other day. They sounded ok but it could have been the gear, a VTL intergrated and a Rega planet. It lacked the last bit of air on the cymbals that I'am use to.I found I had to turn up the volume to really hear the s...
