$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
I am not sure about others, but I am purebred.
Thinking about a new, lower end CD Player
Durability-wise, I doubt you will get a different transport between those, and that is what breaks (along with laser) so it should not be much different. Maybe once you go into some much higher price-ranges and even then who knows. I forgot the nu...
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
I am a cute one, I know. However, you are the first male that told me so and I am flattered.By the way, it was defense of you, not of n80. He showed he can argue for her/himself. I was trying to protect you from yourself.
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
geoffkait,I am as fine as they get. If you really want to know, I have never taken any drug in my life. Just not my thing.Regarding my latest post, I did not expect you to understand. There is way more to listening to music, or anything else, than...
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
When it comes to blind, or not blind, testing and especially these ruminations about fuses, cables, or other smaller parts of a system, I am puzzled how small differences can be discussed without mentioning important factors in the play. Ok, fuse ...
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
Does anyone actually read reviews carefully? They are really all the same. "Punches way above its price range", etc. I feel that some of them are honest to some extent and one of the reasons they are the same is that it is hard to find a truly bad...
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
geoffkait,n80 seems to have a calm clue about what he talked about in the last few posts. Save yourself some embarrassment and, what you like to dismiss, authority claims. I know you get kicks out of being a smart one against everyone clueless, bu...
$10k Speaker Cables??????????????
It takes more than a week to build a cable? Seems inefficient, or as audioman58 earlier mentioned "stretching tea breaks".Empire State Building was built in a little over a year (13-14 months, if I remember correctly). Enough time for 60 cables. I...

Brutane works!
Considering used towers under $1000..
towertone,That is a good news. I have no idea where it starts feeling like a deep (and strong) bass so input from others is valuable. On the other hand, and for whatever it is worth, Monitor Audio Silver 6 I suggested are claimed to go to 35 Hz bu...
Considering used towers under $1000..
Another "by the way":It is unlikely that any of the speakers in the range you are looking for ($1000 used, probably at most $2000 new) will give you really deep bass. Others may add to that thought if having more experience as there are many speak...

Thinking about a new, lower end CD Player
With Arcam/DAC combination being a possibility, it seems that your main problem has become this cheap, second system, player. That is easy. Anything used. If you are not picky, I am sure someone could donate one. You could also grab some new DVD p...
Anyone used these audio ceramic slow blow fuses from Littlefuse?
Please do report back. These fuses are cheap enough that I may try for myself without feeling ripped-off and settle the fuse debate once and for all. At least with myself.
