Hegel Design Flaw? Arghh...OK - well I can certainly better appreciate your dissatisfaction now! Could the dealer not help you find a remedy? Sorry you had that experience. Hope whatever you are running now serves you better.
Hegel Design Flaw? Sabai - I apologize. I had forgotten you had provided that additional info. Do agree with Onhwy61 however about a less provocative title for the thread. I have an H200 purchased used on A'gon. It has given no problems at all. Simply because I do l...
Bob Weir documentary on Netflix Pehare, THANKS. Was aware of this movie being made. Did not know it was available on Netflix. Very much anticipated. Thanks again.
Hegel Design Flaw? Wolf, I agree with your point (it's in Hegel's best business interests to quickly address such complaints) BUT I find Sabai's vagueness about the exact nature of the complaint that Hegel "vehemently" declined to address as curious. I'm guessing if...
Decreasing performance Perhaps said facetiously, but in any case, I doubt Stringreen can be considered an audio novice and unlikely he wasn't aware the build up of oxidation products adversely affects sound. What's striking is the location of the corrosion and the signi...
Jitterbugs from Audioquest and the Regen Hi Ozzy - just ordered one from Music Direct. Planning to use it for headphone listening (Macbook USB>Jitterbug>Dragonfly v1.2>Asgard 2>Senn 600). Should be pretty easy to tell if there is a benefit.
Prestige Grado MI stylus replacement question Chakster - Thanks very much for that link. I knew they were in Brooklyn but great to see the actual facility and get a better sense of how much a "family run" business their operation really is. To me Grado is a throwback to a time of successful A...
Prestige Grado MI stylus replacement question That's good news Chakster. I was only passing along the info relayed to me from someone I consider a highly reputable source. I guess I'll have to get mine under some magnification to see what it actually looks like. Certainly hope new and old sto...
Prestige Grado MI stylus replacement question Chakster (and others) FWIW - Comments just received today from the place selling me analog gear indicate recent 8MZ styli might now be the same as the Gold1 stylus. A couple years ago the 8MZ stylus was a nude elliptical whereas the Gold1 was a bo...
Prestige Grado MI stylus replacement question Chakster...see Needle Doctor and comments on other forums (e.g., Steve Hoffman). From what I've read Prestige line styli are interchangeable amongst all Prestige carts. There are replacement stylus options superior to the Gold that will also fit a...

Cheap Tube amp I agree with Truman's comments. A Jolida 502B integrated was my first introduction to tubes. I had that unit for 10 years and very much enjoyed the music played through it. Don't know what current prices are like but the folks at the Maryland Hdqt...
tube amp and spotify Have run a Musical Fidelity V-DAC and now Schiit Gungnir DAC with tubes. With both DACs have used a V-Link 192 SPDIF converter. Not disputing the praise for Tidal (I haven't tried it) but Spotify Premium sounds pretty darn good on my system.
Carbon Fiber Brush with Milty Gun? HI Moonglum - I find the timings interesting. Thought I was doing it slowly enough...I'll try going even slower. I do hear the occasional "pop" from the gun...will try to avoid this. Actually thought the popping noise was a good thing.
Carbon Fiber Brush with Milty Gun? Meant to add this to my earlier reply...Since I typically slightly dampen the brush surface, it is unlikely to generate a static charge.99 - Here are instructions I found on-line (these are also included with the device)..."Hold the Zerostat withi... |
