My speakers are set. Magnepan Tympani IVs
kythyn The Tympani IV are a great speaker, a while back a cusomer had a pair with CD and my passive pre. He wanted a balls to the wall amp for them, so he trial’d Allan Wright’s (RIP) massive monoblock tube amps, and they sounded great, then the n...

More false and irrelevant information. Keep trying.... I thought you had some knowledge Kosst, but you don't your clearly just a Pass Kit diy'er, that suddenly thinks he has some.Seeing your always spruiking good Nelson Passes name.  I challeng...
What is the best solid state amplifier you have ever heard?
Gryphon Antileon Evo mono's on highest Class-A bias setting feeding the new Wilson Alexia MkII, there is no amp comericall made that can do what it does.Cheers George
Pure Class A amps above 100 Watts?
Gryphon Antileon Evo monoblocks 175w Class-A, I believe will trump all others https://gryphon-audio.dk/shop/power-amplifiers/antileon-evo-mono/ Then if you don't have the funds for them you get the Antileon Evo stereo, with 150w Class-A https://g...
Low Sensitivity Speakers Compression Issue.
do not broadcast a realistic sound stage. Ditto on that one, and add for me depth of sound stage as well, but they do give you a great "wall of sound" effect, just hard to visualize and place any artists in that wall or behind or in front of it.Ch...

Topology is by far the greatest determining factor in how a transistor delivers current to a load. Given similar topologies it’s the final stage, "the output stage" that will determine how much current will flow into low impedance loads. Complime...
Schiit Freya plus. Is this an upgrade?
Interesting, and I'd buy one if my "original version" seemed noisy or lacking in some way If you have a look, there's 4 new preamps in the Freya/Saga range. And by saying the old was/could be noisy, it could have been only with measurements you...

George might not be right all the time, but he’s never wrong. Thank you, and if so in other posts I’ve always admitted when I was wrong, and always started with the word "sorry".https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/delicious-cartoon-character-sign-iso...

I don't know about others in the range but my YBA-WD202 has CEU after the serial no. externally and internally it's as good as if it were made by Pass Labs.Cheers George
Low Sensitivity Speakers Compression Issue.
There is not trade off between high sensitivity and natural tone. Horn colouration and efficient drivers used used outside of their linear range because of low order xovers, are "not natural" in their "tone".Cheers George

Your believing your own bull****!!! "To say it once again for the last time, complementary pair for complementary pair, you’ll get more amperage (current) from a BJT (bi-Polar) output stage than you will a mosfet output stage, end of story. Nothin...

If interconnects are shielded and kept to a reasonable length, I believe there are no "sonic" advantages for XLR over SE.But there is a real "sonic advantage" for SE over "pseudo XLR" as as I mentioned before (about balanced op-amps in the signal ...

you’re moving the goal posts! I’m calling you on that fallacy. Really!! Goal posts haven’t moved, still where they were, have another one.   "To say it once again for the last time, complementary pair for complementary pair, you’ll get more amper...

As George said, fully discrete, no opamps or ic’s Or coupling caps, "best coupling cap is no coupling cap" Cute little bugger, but single-ended only. Nothing wrong with that, no need for balanced unless your doing 10mt interconnects. And many sou...
