Power Cords
Innocent question. As Audioquest is an outspoken proponent of wire directionality one feels obliged to ask, does Audioquest ensure their power cords are constructed such that when they are plugged in the correct direction of the conductors is main...
Why do turntables sound different?
Since the resonant frequencies of the turntable platter, tonearm and cartridge are intentionally designed to be much lower than the lowest airborne vibration frequency you can pretty much ignore airborne vibration.
Support table or shelf for turntable
Right, cement floors actually don't buy you that much since the entire structure of the house or whatever is moving right along with the surface of the Earth. And since the Earth's surface is moving like a wave on the ocean there are six count em!...
Cable Risers/Elevators revisited
No, I didn’t say that. What I said was ceramic material itself is a resonator. I was opening that if someone did not have any luck with ceramic cable elevators it would perhaps be due to the uh, resonating. Besides solid objects do not (rpt not) r...
Will you be going to see YES or YES this summer?

Ba ba black sheep, have you any measurements? Yes, six bags full. Someone is following the wrong sheep.🐑 🐑 🐑 🚶🏻
It's European invasion
Harold-not-the-barrelAlbert Einstein foresaw gravitational waves a hundred years ago, actually he reinvented the whole physics. It has always been brave and fearless individuals who change the world, not ideologies no isms whatsoever. What Einstei...

I’d respectfully opine it’s not that there’s a dearth of engineering talent, it’s the economy! Anyone who thinks he’ll make a bundle in high end audio should probably consider getting a check-up from the neck up. 👤
LP's... Do they sound better now than 30 yrs ago?
They made two fatal mistakes. The first was going to solid state for mastering. The second was thinking that aggressive dynamic range compression was a good idea. For those reasons I'm out.
Cable Risers/Elevators revisited
Audiophile artistry, refinement and frugality front and center! 👯

Cut me some slack, Jack. There has always been Burmeister, Kharma, Lamm, Tenor, Jadis, Rogers, Tannoy, mbl, Siltech, Dart Zeel, etc. at the Shows for as long as I can remember. I’m pretty sure this is fake news.
It's European invasion
I hate to judge before all the facts are in but it appears somebody has been watching a little bit too much RT TV. 📺
It's European invasion
Many of the highest ranking Nazi brass actually did not fair too well in US (the Allies) hands. We hanged them. But Von Braun was not (rpt not) as guilty as the highest ranking Nazis and obviously could be of use to us.
It's European invasion
OK, let me rephrase the comment. Werner Von Braun was the father of the German rocket program during WWII at Peenamunde, the birthplace of modern rocketry, including the V1 and V2 rocket programs, you know the ones Hitler used against Great Britai...
Cable Risers/Elevators revisited
Not terribly surprising considering that ceramic as a material is an excellent resonator. The best way to escape the deleterious effects of electric static charge and vibration is to suspend the cables and cords from the ceiling with fishing line ...
