Dumped the rack
Actually, damping or constraining springs in any manner is a bad idea. People have suggested everything from silk fabric to an oil bath to rubber. The best sound is without any damping. If you’re worried that springs ring when you strike them with...
anbody ever hear of an outfit called dynagroove records?
It’s an odd choice of names since Dynagrooves were a few steps down ⬇️ generally speaking from their predecessor, Shaded Dog 🐕 Living Stereos. Some were really good sounding, though.
What’s your vote for the most ridiculous, overpriced, and useless tweak?
whostolethebatmobileCould there be two broad categories of tweak? One which reveals something new in the sound/music which you have never noticed before, and one which increases pleasure but does not necessarily reveal anything new or previously u...

When May says pleasure she is referring to the sound. “Sound,” “the perception of sound,” “our sense of sound” are all equivalent. You cannot separate them. One would experience more pleasure from a more musical sound, no? Your perception of sound...

Pretty weak post, glubmeister. Maybe eat more Cheerios.
WHAT SHOULD BE MY NEXT SYSTEM UPGRADE?
Gee, I never would have guessed. That certainly explains all the enthusiastic posts. 🙄
Best Headphone under 1k$?
More to the point is that it appears HIFIMAN earphones require around 300 hours or more to burn in, depending on how the burn in is achieved. If I were using the burn-in track on my XLO Test CD I imagine I could reduce the number of hours required...

But the active version requires a compressor, no?

What I see is,“The 2212 Vibraplane and compressor is $5495.” Maybe you’re referring to the passive version.
