Anyone try Cerapucs under full range speakers?
mijostyn - Actually that’s completely incorrect. Placing speakers on springs reduces cabinet vibration. Didn’t you watch the video? Mass-on-spring isolation systems work in both directions. Vertical and horizontal forces - regardless of their sour...
Theoretical question about how CD's work
Actually, I don’t think he did know that. As my old boss at NASA, Chuck Rounds, used to say, hit a man when he’s down.
Elevating subwoofer about two feet off the floor
Uh, there is no 20 Hz information on virtually any recordings. Most people are lucky if the get flat FR down to 35 Hz in the room. Putting the sub on springs greatly reduces energy of all frequencies transmitted from the sub cabinet via the floor ...

Synergestic Black Fuse vs Audio Magic BeesWax
Whoa! What! You mean Bag of Wind won’t suffice any longer?
Speaker Break In...? Or listener “Break In”?
Oh, I dunno about all that. Depends on HOW the speakers - or anything - are broken in. Some methods are without any doubt more effective than others. We’ve known that for a very long time. I’m referring to burn-in tracks on Test CDs continuously a...

Have your cake 🎂 and eat it, too. Isolate the subwoofer with springs. Then you isolate the front end electronics from mechanical feedback AND take advantage of the proximity to the floor. Problem solved! 🤗 I’m pretty sure isolating the sure also r...
Synergestic Black Fuse vs Audio Magic BeesWax
Uh, oh, looks like I’ve been called out by the Bloviator-in-Chief. Actually, I'm not demanding proof, I'm asking for evidence. Any evidence. Follow?
Theoretical question about how CD's work
Exhibit AI recently heard a friend’s (big) system that employs a clamp down device on the CD. I was able to improve the sound considerably by using my Mystery Tweak 🤫 on the CD, which stiffens and damps the CD. This, gentle readers, means the CD c...
Most useful tweaks that are sensible and really make a noticeable improvement
Remove all screws holding each printed circuit board to the chassis except one. And slightly loosen the remaining screw. In place of screws use small cork squares “spacers” to isolate the printed circuit boards from vibration.
Speaker Break In...? Or listener “Break In”?
As I’ve been reporting on another thread, burn-in of new HIFIMAN RE-600S V2 earphones is progressing nicely. Right out of the box they sounded terrible - tinny, distorted, no bass, and wimpy. 1 out of 10. And there was very little change the first...
What equipment upgrades or tweaks will improve the sound of drums?
I would be remiss by not giving a shout out to my New Dark Matter, the quicker picker upper. NDM eliminates both visible red and invisible infrared stray laser light in CD players in less than a picosecond. Restoration of bass frequencies is one o...
Synergestic Black Fuse vs Audio Magic BeesWax
There has never been an amplifier or anything else damaged by an audiophile fuse. When they blow prematurely they actually prevent any damage. So would all the paranoid schizophrenics please put a sock 🧦 in it. And thanks for mentioning wire direc...
What’s your vote for the most ridiculous, overpriced, and useless tweak?
