$10 vs $100 power plug

I sympathize with your angst and frustration over some audiophile product prices; on the other hand, I suspect if you look a little bit harder you can find a lot more to get all worked up about. $100 don't mean much in the scheme of things these d...

European Vibraplane?
Peterayer, it's more of a DIY project, I am pretty sure there are no commercially available units like the ones I have in mind. I designed the first Sub-Hertz Platform for the audio market, the Nimbus Unipivot, a 6 degree of freedom, single airspr...
European Vibraplane?
Mechanical springs have some interesting advantages over air bladder and air spring systems. It is much easier to maintain mechanical spring iso systems since there are no porous rubber bladders, no air fittings that can leak and no air pumps to b...

How big is your matrix - how we bias or enjoyment.
Mrtennis, I am saying that hearing is the same thing as perception. But I can certainly understand why folks might disagree. I am not saying that there can't be psychological aspects to listening, but I think they can be eliminated. If they couldn...
WOW, they are important, but in what order?
The problem with power cords these days is you never what they're going to sound like until after they've been cryo'd and burned in on the Nordost or Audiodharma cable cooker. Choose wisely. :-)
European Vibraplane?
It's an interesting question which iso platform is The Best since a lot of the "art" of isolation involves how the platform is supported, how the component is supported and, like you say, how bad the situation is to begin with. We do know that Ear...

Townshend Seismic Platform looks interesting, from UK. http://www.townshendaudio.com/hi-fi-home-cinema-equipment-vibration-isolation-platform/

Oh, I don't know if I'd say people hear differently or perceive things very differently at all. I do think we all sometimes need someone to point out some peculiarity or characteristic of the sound, then we might say, oh, yeah, I see what you mean...
