Poor grammar is disappointing and decidedly distracting in formal audio reviews. I can barely put together a coherent thought when reading anything by Jason Kennedy, editor of the-ear.net. It is as if he does not understand the limitation of use of a comma. Do the English really have that much of a different implementation o...
BEWARE OF FRAUD with this member PS, PayPal does this to buyers as well. Had a Krell preamp, purchased here on A'gon, just not arrive at my doorstep while I was in the house. Despite the fact that the seller insured it and sent it 'signature only', UPS said they left it on the do...
BEWARE OF FRAUD with this member I think that everything that needs to be said has been said about this.I just would like to add that I would think nothing of opening a small claim in your local jurisdiction against PayPal. First off, just for the ballbreaking of it all. Even if ...
I heard the Box mapman19,18It could be the floor more than the box you hear if floor is suspended plywood in which case use isolation pads or similar. Oh no. I don't think I can take hearing *the floor* after 'hearing the box'.
Favorite Guitar Solo Two that come to mind immediately, Keith lighting up 'Bitch' and his better than Chuck work on Ya Ya's 'Carol'.

Don't like vinyl We're no longer in 1982. Digital music is actually quite good now and while folks enjoy playing with vinyl for its tangible, possibly nostalgic charms, I'm ok with the tangible charms nicely recorded music gives on today's digital recording. And, ...
Doe you enjoy your listening to music and your system more with others or alone? I hate people. My wife is OK...I guess.
Most enduring audio purchase I get 'The Nervosa' from time to time, but whether it's just because speakers are a pain in the balls to sell, move & change or it's even harder to find the right speaker, I find it's the speakers that last longest, followed by amps.It takes m...
What was your most disappointing album purchase? I was talking about this online with friends recently. Back in the day when we used to really pay for music, not have entire catalogues available at a click, you'd wait for NEW Bowie or Led Zep or Elvis stuff to come out and listen to an album sid...
Does anyone collect something else other than music. Autographs, musical & historical.Elvis owned items, Billie Holiday items, select baseball stuff. Beyond that, age spots like the rest of us.
What would you do if items from Ebay had beenlost? This happened for me with a Krell preamp in December. You think, 'oh I paid by Paypal, I'm covered'- bulls**t.UPS said they dropped it (didn't get the signature they were supposed to) and that's all Paypal needed. With nothing else, they found for...
best preamp ever - cost is no object is there a best wine, a best movie, a best restaurant, a best wife ?For short term leases, I continue to see ’best wives’ every now & again.
Audio discounts during Coronavirus Haven't seen these elusive 'sales' on much anything myself.
Pure Class A amps above 100 Watts? I agree with 8th Note. If you can't build a sublime, balls to the wall system around a Krell KSA300 amp, there's something you're doing wrong. Save some money, fine tune with your preamp and build with your ears. |
