Electrostatic speaker cables...
If I'm not mistaken, InnerSound offers a 30 day trial period on their speaker cables, and you can return them if you don't like them. You might want to email them to be sure. Super nice folks to deal with ... Here's the email address: sales@inners...
Suggestion for Amp to 2 ohm loads?
If 400 watts into 2 ohms would work for you, a CODA Continuum Stage+ amp would be an excellent choice. It's stable into fractions of one ohm. Has powerful, tight bass and great delicacy in the mids and highs, too. See this site for more info:http:...
how much power needed for mid-high frequencies?
I meant to mention that there are many threads on the Apogee forum about bi-amping ribbon speakers. For some enlightening reading, you may want to do a search on “bi-amp” and “bi-amping” when you get there.Since you’re a tube fan, you may also wan...

Need amp/pre recommend for Maggie 3.5s
Funny you asked. There's another fella who's looking for a good amp and preamp for his Maggies, too, and I just posted a suggestion -- a CODA Continuum Stage Plus amp. Seehttp://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?aamps&1025551313&2&3&...
Need inexpensive amp help and questions on Hype
I own a pair of small Maggies like yours (the SMGc's, in fact) and love them. Unfortunately, I have to tell you that these wonderful little speakers are not well served by just any amp. These guys, like all Maggies, require an amp that will delive...
Which Processor: Sunfire or Bryston?
I second SD Campbell’s recommendation – the Bryston SP1 is a wonderful pre-pro. Wonderfully transparent and neutral, well made, and very intuitive in its operation – easier to operate than any receiver or preamp processor I’ve ever used. It really...
Have you ever collected on insurance????
I did collect from FedEx Ground once, but as in Sugarbrie's case, only because it was either lost or stolen while in their possession. * * * * * Ejlif, I'm curious. Did you file your lawsuit in a Small Claims court, or some other court?
I need help with getting monies back
Glad this is getting straightened out! Llanos are wonderful amps, and Randy’s an honest and helpful guy. I think he went the extra mile on this one.
Amp Suggestions For A Newbie - Please
I can't help much with your speaker selection, but can personally recommend the AudioSource Amp 1/A (80 watts/channel and an excellent performer) as well as the AudioSource Pre 1A preamp highly. Both the amp and preamp can be purchased new for aro...
Where to get spikes for Apogee Cephus 6's? Help
Parts Express has speaker spikes and threaded speaker cones, but I don't know if they'll work on the Cepheus 6's or not. Take a look: http://www.partsexpress.com/
What happened to list prices?
Yes, please reinstate the list prices! As said above, the benefits far outway the disadvantages.
Magnepan SMGa
I have a pair of SMGc's and really love them. I agree with the comments above about the low end extension being somewhat limited (you might want to add a sub somewhere down the road, but it's not absolutely crucial) but the SMGc's handle the highs...
