Deoxit for cables @wolf_garcia Thank you.
Is Spiking Necesarry? Put your hand on the floor (suspended, not slab) next to spiked speakers paying dynamic music with plenty of bass content and you can feel the vibration on the floor…do the same with Vibrapods (or other things that turn vibes into heat…like my cou...
Deoxit for cables Deoxit works great…Hi @wolf_garcia Can you be more specific please? There are different types of deoxit and different methods of applying it. What are you using on cable (bare wire ends presumably) that have shown improvement? Thanks.
Upgrading front 3 speakers to GoldenEar Triton Reference or B&W Nautilus 800? Hi Steve. The Triton's cannot and should not be bi-amped.
Is Spiking Necesarry? I stopped using speaker spikes years ago when I found that simple and inexpensive Vibrapods.....I would consider Vibrapods "spikes", albeit loosely defined. They appear similar to the Herbies Gliders.
New Yggdrasil - First (and second) Impressions But using AT&T GLASS optical link (especially with indexing fluid) receiver and transmission as Wadia used to do as an very expensive extra, is better than proper 75ohm spidf coax with proper 75ohm BNC connections, as RCA "are not" 75ohm.@geo...
Triton Reference Review @eternalcamper Hi Steve. No, the T Refs cannot be bi-amped. Many people are using all kinds of amps, and Sandy would not recommend any one in particular. I encourage you to search for answers to your questions and/or post on the Golden Ear forum h...
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Thank you @mattnshilp
Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD I’ve been moving around the whole thread. It’s always done meticulously and with purpose. Terminating Cables I'm not sure what you're unsure about. Bare speaker wire (ends) is best. Plenty of threads and posts on this forum advocating for one way or the other though. If you're unsure about "just ramming the cable in the holes and hoping for a good connec...
D to A converter purchase.... I just think it's rather silly to claim you're "preserving the original samples" when it's clearly not the case for 24-bit source material. Are you referring to the Yggdrasil or Gungnir? I think you are referring to the Yggdrasil, as I do not read ...
Reference disc player...UDP 205 or Marantz? ....I am confused, I would not touch UDP-205 if it only down mixes the multi channel layer of SACD for stereo playback. Yes, I think you may be confused.I don't see (in the manual) any restriction about SACD, other than "Due to copyright restricti...
D to A converter purchase.... Yes, I realize the gain in signal-to-noise ratio when you combine the converter chips that way, but it's still an 18-bit part and will only decode 18 bits worth of data. This thread discussion is beginning to read a lot like this one :)https://foru...
New Yggdrasil - First (and second) Impressions Sit back and enjoy the music.@kalaliTrust me, I’m enjoying the music. :)Nevertheless, I like to be as thorough as possible with any comparison (in this case analog A to analog B) attempt. As to the temperature, I’ve posted my findings on the appro...
Why so few speakers with Passive Radiators? I should have posted this link in my 01-25-2018 5:24 post instead of or in addition to the link to the wiki article:http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Article-Two---Vol-2--No--10.html?soid=1103589248191&aid=qyjfQ... |
