Why does pulling out main speakers from wall improve sound?
To round out room reflections. An alternative is wall absorption treatment. Or live with image confusion. Obviously "your" dealer is more interested in sales than good sound.
My PerfectWave dac is working!
There are more than one PS Audio Perfectwave. If it’s a Directstream mk 1 there is a small blue connection screen in the middle of the main screen. This has to show a RCA/coax image (in your case) with a green light (for the handshake) Without bo...
Question on component impedance mismatch
Glad you got there.
My PerfectWave dac is working!
Call Boulder tommorow. They will probably have suggestions. Try a cold reboot to renew the handshake. There have been multiple DACs labelled PerfectWave for over a decade.  You're going to have to be specific.
Is there an affordable all in one Flac burning appliance?
Tied up? You will probably still need the computer to get the tags (like genre) the way you want.

Question on component impedance mismatch
Impedance?  I think you mean gain. I traded a pre that played around 35 for one that plays around 70.  I prefer the latter. That said balanced attenuaters are only useful in an analog application, between the pre and power amps. .

Weirdly Specific HUM issue
@arcticdeth News flash, it’s not the HDMI, it’s the cable. Ground Loop Hum TV/Noise Eliminator https://a.co/d/dcVbGZg. I doubt that any cables will affect ground hum. @mijostyn He did that and traced it to the Freya. Now what say you?
Why don't higher end amplifiers come with a separate power chassis?
I have an integrated from the 80's like that.
Weirdly Specific HUM issue
Try a HumX or a cheater on the Freya.
