One Cord To Rule Them All
Paul says it WILL improve his PowerPlants on both ends. Look at the PS Audio Forums and you will probably want a Belden BAV 10 guage.$170https://www.iconoclastcable.com/bav/index.htm

Heroin is not a scourge if your thing is cheating death (or not) to devote your existence to chasing the dragon. Alcohol and cigarettes?  Scourge. Even if they don't kill you, you're just wasting health, immunity and brain cells.

Re-terminate speaker cables
You can get a tighter connection with two screws rather than on one spade.WBT locking bananas are cheap. No need for Cardas solder or cold weld.Unless you can't work a screwdriver.
Manual for Black Ice Wireless DAC
Never heard of a WiFi DAC. The manual is on the first Google page. It says NOTHING about WiFi.Ask the seller.
Downmix Dilemmas
Never noticed it but I don't stream. I play ripped files through a Roku for 2.0 and a BluRay for 5.1.All good.

Stereo? You can't hear any stinking stereo.
Are there any other cheaper options for power regeneration than PS Audio
You get what you pay for. Paul pretty much invented the category and cheaper ones are all that.
