Good recommendations from Newbee. Also, for great sound and good performances try Mitsuko Uchida/Jeffrey Tate cond. the great English Chamber Orchestra on Phillips. Still, I have to mention the fantastic interpretations with decent overall sound...

I don’t think so. When a good silver wire causes the sonic balance that you are suggesting, the problem would most likely be that the rest of the system is too tipped up in balance.
