Review: Lessloss Lessloss Filtering Power Cord Power cord Mattheus: I've had the Lessloss and the DCCA Reference Master too. Power cable performance is generally system and component dependent. I've never seen the Lessloss described as fatiguing or painful to the ears. Forgiving, yes, but not fatiguing. ...
Cambridge 640, 740 and 840 I had the 640C. If you like your sonics lean, that's what I experienced.
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Audphile1 and Sherod, thanks for your suggestions. However, Tvad (Grant) isn't the one seeking recommendations on power cords. That would be me. Grant did post earlier in this thread the suggestion of a Purist Dominus cord. To his credit, he has q...
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Wow, I must say this thread is taking some sharp twists and turns. Musicfile, I have already tried DCCA cords, and they are very good cords. Audphile, I've had 2 Audience cords in the past. I wouldn't mind trying the Transparent MM but that cord c...
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Audphile1: no on the Shunyatas. I used to own the Diamondback and Copperhead. I'm trying combinations of different cords as you suggest. Right now I'm using a Purist Dominus Ferrox, 2 Lessloss, and 2 Flavor 4's; I have a MAC HC and a Black Sand Vi...
Do you have a secret "guilty pleasure" recording? The group Yes, especially Yessongs, or some of their other recordings. I know one person that likes them a little but not enough to take time the time to listen. But I'll always be a fan.
Driven to Tears I never felt that the emotional impact of music was the audio system alone. I guess I did not communicate that in my post. The music must convey beauty and emotion. If the system has nothing to do with the emotional impact, then I'm glad of that. ...
Power Trip You did alright. I was an English major and I could read it. Your writing form does break the rules however. Just today I was thinking of flipping all the circuit breakers on my panel on and off. The electrical pros say everyone should do this onc...
PrimaLuna Prologue 8 CD Player Sound The price of the PL8 since day one was set at $2499. It was never implied that the price would be $1500 or even $2000. Upscaleaudio (Threads | Answers)Upscaleaudio, in a blog posted about the Prologue Eight by Wes Phillips and Jon Iverson of Stere...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments? In my opinion, the 20a amp adapter has to be a weak link and will alter (however much) the sonic end result of the SR T3. Unless the Cable Company informed you up front that they could not send a 20 amp T3 cord and asked if sending a 15 amp T3 alo...
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Very funny story Dave! Jim, I may have to re-visit the Flavor 4. Joe, I can't bring myself to spend $1k(plus) on a power cord. Sherod, I don't know of anyone doing a Premier mod, and I'm not a diy-type audiophile. But the mod sounds like the ticke...
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Grant, before I placed the order on the T3 and returned the demo, several days went by, and with additional time the sonic presentation changed to something I could not live with. (this was with over 300 hrs of break in on the cord)I experienced l...

Best power solution for Plinius 9200 When I had the Plinius 9200 it seemed to work well with the Hydra 4 I also had.
Opinions: PC's with strong lows roll off the highs Knownothing, for me no, the Flavor 4 cords do not roll of the highs or the bass. I'd say the Flavor 4 does not emphasize either extreme. They have good bass and good highs as well. I have consulted the Cable Company in the past. |
