After 5 years, format war? What format war?
Sold my SACD and DVD-A players. Bought the VPI scout and never looked back. I have two systems. My home theater is all digital with about 500 seldom used cd's.Tim
is this the best guitar ever
SiliabI was not moved by the SACD and gave it to a friend.

THX vs. DTS
First off,don not buy a receiver! Go for separates. Buy a used pre pro and save a lot of money. Receivers hold their resale like a sieve.Tim
Best Power Conditioner
I agree with Sc53 100%. Are you trying to EQ the system or cleanup the A/C? The BPT ultra is a great way to go.Tim
Best All time 5.1 Pre/Pro
The only mistake made in my setup is the black B&K ref.30 sandwiched between my EAD powermaster1000 and TheatervisionP. I still may find the cash go with the wall of silver. EAD for me.Tim
Seperates or Receiver on a Budget
Separates.B&K has lowered the price on the ref.50 to about 2k or less.Still need an amp. Lots of options.
Speakers to compare to Paradigm Studio 100 V.3

Boomy bass in home theater room
I just started using the notch filter in my B&K ref. 30 and found this is one the best features going. You want to look at a different pre. pro.Tim
The obsession, the trees. The music, the forest.
I am very new to analog,so I have trouble with all these adjustments. As time goes by I seem to be listening more and tweeking less.Tim
Keb' Mo' -- tell me more
I also like Keb quite a bit. I am also from Chicago, and his blues are not the same as Muddy Waters. Still like him though.
Totem Forest or Thiel CS2.3 ?
Another vote for the Forests.
