Innersound ESLs Amplifier Thank you all.I don't want to go with tubes or hibrid. I like to listen to music very loud and with deep bass (that's where my Velodyne helps the ML). Another thing, I'm in Brazil, so I'm unable to have tube service down here. I think SS is the wa...
Which AV processors have an analog pass-thru? B&K Ref 30 has analog bypass.
do i need a prog dvd player for my sharp 9000 Yes. You can use any interlaced dvd player with Faroudja NRS (so you don't need a prog scan dvd player). It should also enhace the picture of your dish, but it will not look as good as your dvd picture.I may have mistaken the dates of the Sharp. Y...
do i need a prog dvd player for my sharp 9000 You should get a scaler. If your budget allows, get a Faroudja Native Rate Series (720p). You should know that, depending on when you got your Sharp (before or after January 2002) you will not be able to bypass its internal scaler even when feedin...
Which multichannel SACD player? I can get the Sony 777-ES for U$ 1,825. What do you think? For this price maybe the Sony is the best buy for multichannel SACD/CD player.
Which multichannel SACD player? Thanks,I will look into the Sony XA-777ES. Are there any other SACD Multi-channel players I sould look?
what dvd player with progressive scan? All Pioneers have the chroma bug. The Sony 9000ES does to. Go with the SAGE/Faroudja chip and you'll get the best image from video sources, because they have the best deinterlacing engine.I would go with the Panasonic as recommended by Soundsgr8to...
Progressive Scan? Need Advice Keep in mind that the best deinterlacing chip is the Sage/Faroudja, which is used in some Panasonic and Kenwood models. The Pioneer and Sony models have the chroma bug very bad and have poor deinterlacing engines. If you want the best picture poss...
Decent DVD Player All the Pioneers dvd players have the chroma bug, so if you're able to see the bug, stay away of the pioneers. The Panasonic RP-91 maybe is the best choice for you. Great performance both interlaced and progressive and you get DVD-Audio as a bonus.
B&K Ref 30 or Anthem AV2 I never auditioned the Anthem, but I own a B&K and the 2ch listening is great! I use the B&K Ref 30/Ref 7250 combo and the Martin Logan Aerius i. The sound is awsome (at least for my ears). The B&K has a great feature which is the abil...
PANASONIC DVD-H2000 Thanks... I'll check for this. In fact, I have no idea, as for the moment, of which unit I'll buy. I'm thinking of the EAD THEATERVISION P, CAMELOT ROUNDTABLE, SONY 9000ES... I just thought that the Panasonic, with its Silicon Image chip, would be...
Best Projector/DVD combination Thank You again. I have to buy 2 dvd players for different setups. One will be used in my room, together with my SONY 42" Plasma Display and the B&K's Ref 30 Pre-Amp and Ref 7250 5ch Amp (the speakers are the Martin Logan Aerius i, Cinema and ...
Best Projector/DVD combination Thunders and Bmpnyc, I read a review on the Camelot Roundtable that, besides saying that it is a great player on both sound and image quality, said that, unless you are gonna use its "extras" features, like better S-Video Output, the aspect ratio ...
Best Projector/DVD combination Thank You for your feedback.Thunders, how does the problem you mentioned affect me, considering that I intend to buy a projector which is "progressive-scan" ready? What about the EAD TheaterVision P? How good is it? I heard it has the DVDO chip also.
Best DVD Player for around US 2,000 Thank You for your advice. I think the EAD Theatervision is selling for under US$ 2,500. Does it worth it? Does the U$ 1k difference between the EAD and the SONY worth paying for? What about the sound performance? I'm considering using the DVD Pla... |
