What's the farthest you've traveled for live music
When I was in a band we toured the US coast to coast in 2.5 weeks. Four 18 year olds, with a van and trailer. Most memorable summer of my life.
Best budget equipment?
I've been very pleased with my Cambridge Audio 550a, 540p phono pre, and Music Hall MMF7 set-up.
Best Private Retreat Using Closed Headphones
I use a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones. Have had them for about five years. Originally bought them as a pair of phones for detailed mixing back when I was recording a lot. They struck me as extremely musical and unexhausting for a close...

Heyitsmedusty and SynthThose studio monitors looks like the KRK VXT 6 (or maybe 8). That wide black dust cap is pretty convincing. I'd be blown away if someone who had a home studio would go with B&W before KRK, just because the KRKs are argua...

Is Kind of Blue the Best Jazz Album Ever
Glad you clarified that,Lloydc, because your comments and my new-found-interest in hardbop were about to make me feel like I'm totally missing the point. It would have been back to SunRa, Eric Dolphy and my wife wondering WTF I'm listening to.
It is 5 AM, Do you Know where Mikey Fremer is?
probably less than 1%. those few are records I bought in lots, to get others, but for the most part I've given my 500+ records their deserved time on the platter. Plus like many full time students part-time workers in college, I spent a dispropor...
returning vinyl for warpage?
I'm glad this thread came up again, it gets discussed often enough, but I've noticed that many more records that I've purchased (new) in the past 2-3 years have been warped. I've especially noticed that the albums that are so called 'audiophile qu...

Yeah, I went back and started to look at the different band members/performers on the records I have and bought a Hank Mobley record. I'm un-officially naming it the Posi-Jazz record. Loving it.
