Dynamic Design cables I'm probably prejudice here as I am a dealer for DD, but when it comes to cables, what works best in one system, may not work well in others, so, if possible, autitioning in your own system, with your own equipment is the best way to determine if ...
Speaker cabinet made of real wood Daedalus speakers are almost entirely made of renewable hardwoods except for the birch ply front and rear baffles, the front baffle being covered with solid walnut. I believe that the internal bracing is also solid hardwoods. I personally believe ...
Herron VTSP-3A I need to also disclose that I am now a dealer for Keith and became one only after becoming a customer of Herron Audio. I am so impressed with the sound his gear makes that I am making an investment in high end audio as a business venture.I've bee...
Herron VTSP-3A I own a VTSP-3A and VTPH-2 and based on the sound of these two components, I have also ordered a pair of of M1's and have become a dealer for Keith here in Western North Carolina. This is great sounding audio gear and I've owned a lot over the las...
Daedalus I don't read BFS anymore as I lost interest when I found out Marty uses Lowes AC cable for speaker cables. However, I do own a pair of Ulysses speakers and it would be a loss for you or anyone else interested in them to not run out and listen to t...
Dynamic Design Lotus Spkr cable users? I would like to echo what Lou says about these cables. In my experience, which is pretty considerable at this point, they are the best cables I've heard. Very dynamic, quiet, neutral and easy to work with in terms of connections.
Daedalus I use a pair of Pass XA100.5's in a 18 by 23 ft room and it is spectacular sounding. Neither the speakers or the amps give out at any volume level I can tolerate and I listen loudly. Lou's products are wonderful, musical and great values.
Daedalus My system uses Lou's Ulysses speakers being driven by Pass XA100.5 amps being driven by a ModWright LS36.5/PS36.5 preamp. I also use a pair of Art of Sound Jazzmon subs in an 18' x 23" room. These are 12" subs using an ACI driver in a closed cabin...
Daedalus You guys have the Daedalus sound down pat. However, the Ulysses does have offset tweeters while the DA-RMa is a single tweeter design that does not position the tweeter off axis. None the less, the Ulysses do pinpoint imaging with the added benefi...
Preamp Deal of the Century Yes, it is true. Mick and I corresponded over the weekend and he is indeed giving up on audio and Supratek is no more.I was his original importer and friend and he has his sights set on something new for his life. It is making me think hard about ...
Is Supratek Syrah still the deal of the century? There is some validity in peoples concerns about reliability, but in my mind, if one can accept the potential of needing to service them and also have someone around to trouble shoot if needed, they are worth every penny. The Supratek preamps and a...
Review: Daedalus Audio Isolation Stand/Platform for DA-1 Hi guys.Yes, Barrelchief's room is similar in construction, but smaller in volume which changes things. 18 x 23 x 8.5-9ft ceilings, as opposed to 14 x 16 x 7 is quite a bit different with respect to total volume. Everything else being equal, with ...
Review: Daedalus Audio Isolation Stand/Platform for DA-1 Hi guys.I believe that I am the recipient of the DA-1 platforms that Barrelchief very throughly described. As my room and equipment vary, I would like to add my impressions of the DA-1 platforms in my system. My 18" x 23" room is on the bottom floor...
Daedalus DA-1: How Good Are They? Great review and spot on description of the sound. If people read all of the Daedalus reviews...there will be several more on line and news letter publication reviews pretty soon...they all start to say the same things. Music that sounds tonally re...
Daedalus DA-1 I am a DA-1 owner and one of the guys that spoke with Dodgealum about the Daedalus speakers.I've owned the DA-1's for better than 8 months now and they are the most enjoyable speakers I've ever listened to and I've been at this for over 25 years. ... |
