The Single Piece That Started Today's HIGH END ? Not so much a philosophy as a vision of what could be accomoplished. Without question, Nelson Pass has been a visionary in the arena of high end audio since the mid 70s. Few are his peer, period. Remains dedicated to two channel audio and continues...
Preamp to go with a Pass Labs X250 ? Finally discuss with Nelson Pass - Nuff said.
Preamp to go with a Pass Labs X250 ? I would keep in the Pass Labs line of preamps. Also consider Klyne as well as Jeff Rowland. If you plan to play vinyl, then the Klyne is my overall choice.Usually tube preamps do not match well with Nelson Pass designed gear. There much better mat...

Review: Bryston 4B-ST Amplifier Having been in this hobby/business since 1957 have damn near seen it all and owned and sold more gear than I can remember. I do remember when Bryston started in the mid 70s about 1977 if memory serves me correct.First products were the 1B Preamp a...
What phono stage candidates should I consider? If you can afford the FM Acoustic phono preamp, that will put you in very elite company. Their client list is a virtual whos, who of the music industry. If you can get the serial number, you may find who it was made for. All FM Acoustic pieces are...
What phono stage candidates should I consider? Heres the ones I have used in the past with great success.Klyne is no doubt the best of the group. Threshold FET 10PC, and a Conrad Johnson EF1. But have to agree with another respondent and have a phono stage installed in the Levinso 32 you have ...

which nad amp sholuld I get? The venerable NAD 3080 would more than handle the requirements you need. This NAD amp would drive 2 ohm loads with ease and will drive planars nicely. Hard to find but worth the search. The NAD 3080 is a fully descrete amplifier,no cheap IC parts a...
