Power for Vienna A Mozarts The 8150i would be too big and if your room are not big enough you would have a tendency to get excessive bass. I would check out the audio analogue puccini se remote or the electrocompaniet eci-3. I have both integrated & the Puccini seems to...
Amplifier for Sonus Faber Electa Amator Used to own these speakers & drove them with a Krell KSA200S. These speakers need big big room to work properly OR acoustically treated otherwise you'll be disappointed w/ them. If set up properly they will do magic! Good luck.
Opinions on integrateds, thanks... Try the audio analogue Puccini SE REmote or the Pathos Classic One. Great integrated at affordable prices.
Speaker Cable : Low/Mid Priced Advice try using the analysis plus oval 12 or oval 9. Great speaker cables!
Amps: Bryston vs Electrocompaniet Since you are using a Dynaudio Contour series speaker and I'm also using one. My advise would be to use the Plinius SA100MK3 power amp. Somehow the Plinius and the Dynaudio have a very synergistic match. Along in that lines, I have great sucess us...
Speaker Cable Recommendation Hi, I second or third the opion that the Dynaudio sounded very good with the AP Oval 9's. I think for those people who have not burned in the cable, well, there are in for a disappointment. I burned my in for about 50-100 hours and it really reall...
Opinion: SF Concertos w/ Bryston 3B-ST? Better off try the Krell KAV150 power amp with a tube pre-amp. Also heard it with the Plinius 8150i integrated. Either of the two, you can't go wrong.
Amps for Dynaudio Confidence 5s? I have been using the Audience and now the Contours speakers. One amp I can comment: Plinius!! I've used the 8150i and have no problems driving the small 1.1's. However, with the Confidence 5, I advise you to get the SA250IV if you can afford it a...
Plinius 8150i inegrated or Bryston 4BST Plinius for sure! so far it has beaten a lot of amp/pre-amp combo that I've owned in the past 10 years... Krell, Mark Levinson, Carver, COnrad Johnson are some of the few that it has beaten. Its a great integrated! a keeper!
Amps for Totem Model 1 Try Plinius 8150i, had great sucess with it
Speakers for Plinius 8150 Have used: Totem Model 1, Sonus COncertino, Dynaudio Contour 1.1. I know of someone also using the Dynaudio 1.8 with no problems whatsoever. This amp is so compatible with so many speakers, its amazing! In a few months, I'm gonna be trying a Merli...
Good amp to match Totem Model One Tried a few combo with this speaker. So far, the most balanced seem to the Plinius 8150i, a bit expensive but worth the cash outlay! A friend tried this with a Krell KSA250 with Classe DR6 pre-amp, he likes the combo as well. Another friend tried ...
Help-need dig. cable better than D-60 Tried the Purist Audio Proteus! Incredible stuff! really balanced my system out. Thou I have not heard of the D60. I might also consider the Fidelus. Heard some good things about it.
Acoustic Treatment Go for the room lens even if you have to fabricate one! its great! it works and its not ugly! I cant believe what this thing did to my system! Soundstage was defininitely more concrete, solid, layering is very very precise, separation of instrumen...
True Bookshelf speakers--which best?! I would include the Dynaudio Contour 1.1, Totem Model 1 and Proac Response 1sc as your shortlist. |
