Why Crazy Prices paid for Pioneer 100 JBL L100 AR1 AR3 AR3A Interesting and timely thread as my circa 1978 AR14 speakers were just packed off to the University of TN for the third time today. I first took them in 1978, my oldest son had them there up through his graduation in 2019, and now my youngest move...
Been away for a while, need some help My situation was similar to yours in some ways. I had a decent but older stereo that had fallen into disuse - just didn’t listen to a lot of music anymore. We did a remodel of our main living area a couple years ago and in the run up to that I got...
2k to 4k Streaming DAC You mentioned you were already aware of / looking at Mytek. Just to reinforce that idea I recently upgraded from a Blusound Node 2 to the Mytek Manhattan with internal network (streaming) card and I couldn’t be happier. This option is a little ab...
Streamer Value Question Innous vs Bluesound I recently upgraded from a Node 2 (not 2i) to a Mytek Manhattan with network card. I originally did not plan to get the network card (streamer) but it was being offered for free with the DAC and I am glad that I got it. I have direct compared the ...
DAC upgrade suggestion +1 @ erik_squires. I just upgraded from a Node 2 to a Mytek Manhattan w/ network card and could not be happier. Have listened for hours on end without any fatigue. Didn't realize digital could sound this good. YMMV.
Where do you go after a BlueSound Node 2i? @b_limo I appreciate the acknowledgement and understand the situation. I also pulled the trigger quickly when Mytek came out with their MYTEK2020RELIEF special on the Manhattan ($300 discount + free network card + 10% donation as explained above)....
Where do you go after a BlueSound Node 2i? It amazes me how people start a thread and then buy an item before they have received all the feedback from the community and then complain about the audience not following the thread closely enough. For others who might be interested in this topi...
Youngsters these days. +1 cat_doorman
Youngsters these days. My two boys are 23 and 18. The older one is in grad school and listens to an amazing array of music. I guess I started the fire and he has fanned the flames on his own. We turn each other on to new to us music on a regular basis. He had my old Ken...
OMG, just removed my speaker grills and the sound just opened up to a new level! Just glad MC realizes it’s so hard to parody liberals since they’re always making so much sense. Now climate change deniers are another story all together.
Parasound A21+ or PS Audio S700 monos? bwaterme - I went back and forth between the JC1 and the a21+ and ended up with the a21+ to preserve domestic tranquility. Based on your experience I guess it worked out ok. ;-)
Parasound A21+ or PS Audio S700 monos? Hey naimfan - I have an a21+ powering a pair of Monitor Audio Gold 200 speakers. While I can’t speak to the PS Audio monoblocks, I am very pleased with my system. I stream through a Blusound node2 and also have a vinyl rig (Rega). I use an Anthem ...
Who remembers audio from the time when ... I was turned on to “hi fidelity” by a good friend whose dad had components - as opposed to the all-in-one systems that were common in the 70s. Still remembering listening to The Who Live at Leeds on that system. Soon after my Grandmother decided t...
My expert tips on building a sensible world class audio system. Can wild poodles be raised?;-0
Ordered my new amp today... been a long road! I also just bought the A21+. I’ve had it a few weeks and did some minor testing but am waiting for a custom cabinet to be finished and installed (it’s only been a year long wait but we love our cabinet maker - there’s a reason he’s in high demand)... |
