Meadowlarks are worth a listen.
What are you powering your Martin Logans with????
CJ MF2500. Sounds right to me.
Seeking Great Cool Runnin' SS Amp...
The Conrad Johnson MF series run cool. I like the MF2500. Good luck.
Managing flux and solder steam and smoke.
The best approach is to solder in a vented hood so all the vapor is vented outside. Most people don't have access to one and for small soldering jobs I don't take any venting precautions. If you're going to do a lot of soldering you might consider...
Best Frank Zappa´s Recordings
"Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar" and "Sleep Dirt" are my favorites. Saw him live several times including a couple of great Halloween shows. Loren
MMF 5 Question
Yes. They left out the decimal point. Even better though would be to use the Shure gauge for more accurate readings. Worth the $20 if you're into vinyl.Loren.
Gain and Rothwell attenuators
I have the same problem. I eventually switched to a Njoe Tjoeb cdp. Add a couple solder joints and you can change the output voltage down from ~2.5 volts to ~1.25 or~0.7 volts. Worked well. You could also find a cdp with an analog volume control l...

Need monitors with a BIG sound
I would second the recommendation for the Meadowlark Swallows.
Does the C-J PF-R invert absolute signal polarity?

Anyone use a Pledge "Grab-it" on their vinyl?
Doubt it would do damage. What you may be noticing is reduction of static electicity on the LP. I think those clothes work mainly on the basis of attracting dirt with a static charge.
How much fluid do you use
You should use enough fluid so the entire surface of the record is fully covered with a continuous thin film. If the fluid gets onto the label or starts dripping off the edge of the record you've used too much. Vinyl is great fun.
Advice on purchasing classics amplifiers.Which one
If bass is a priority you might want to consider one of the newer sweet solid state designs like the CJ MF series, Gamut or Plinius. Reliable and within your price range.
Advice on purchasing classics amplifiers.Which one
Any way you could demo them? That's the best way to decide. Without hearing them, I would put my money on the VTL's.
CJ MF2500 and Audio Aero Capitole?
I like it. What speakers will you be driving?
