New to Opera, have some questions
Pretty much any opera by Mozart. Then again, I am very partial to Wolfie. :)
what's your favorite album cover?
I too loved the "Whipped Cream" album cover by Herb Alpert. "Revolver," because there's always something new to see every time you look at it.
Remembering Laura Branigan
I feel sorry for her, but must admit that I had deep hatred for "Gloria." You hear it week after week while you're running your butt off in an aerobics class, and it gets old...fast. (Same thing for Denise Williams's "Let's Hear It For The Boy.")S...
Whats on your turntable tonight?
CSNY: So FarJohn Lennon: Lennon Legend
...and Again top 3...
If I never hear "American Pie" again, it will be too soon.
Who is your overall favorite guitarist?
Wow, this is tough. I guess a tie between George Harrison and Clapton. There were many others listed that I love, too. I remember the first time I heard SRV, and thought, "Wow...this guy is terrific!" Of course, it was right after he died. I have t...
Classic Rock Fans?
Quote:Fab4fan,How about Don Henley when he was with the Eagles?(drummer + curly perm) ;)LOL! (It wasn't quite long enough, though!)
Classic Rock Fans?
I know, Musicbuff...it was the combination of the guy sort of looking like Jeff Lynne plus being a drummer that was the attraction (who could ask for anything more?).
Does your favorite band suck? Scientific proof
This way too difficult for someone who can't balance her checkbook.
What's your favorite lyric from a song?
LOL at "I buried Paul.""She blew my nose and then she blew my mind" is a pretty good line.
Classic Rock Fans?
Forgot to add that I almost (almost) dated a guy purely because he resembled Jeff Lynne (well, he had the curly perm and the aviator glasses).Oh yeah, he was a drummer, too. What can I say...it was 1979.
Classic Rock Fans?
Lurve ELO...in fact, I've been listening to an ELO CD for the past week or so. CSNY is always a fave, too. When I listen to the radio, it's usually classic rock or classical. I can't bear much of anything recorded after about 1983.
Best Male Singers of the 20th Century
John Lennon. Freddie Mercury ain't too shabby, either. When he goes into that scat duirng "Another One Bites The Dust," it's one of the best moments in R&R, to me, anyway.
Favourite Guitar CDs
Los Romeros: "Carmen" and some Spanish dances. Their version of "Carmen" is beautiful.
