How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
My RC is with my technician and he is building a transformer-based power supply for it. He tested it today and it crapped out. He will have to make the power supply *much* more robust. I'm a little worried about the cost of this; I hope it will be...

Branimir,I don't have a CDSD yet. I'll see if I can borrow a good, broken-in, AES/EBU cable.I won't report again until Friday Dec. 6 (the 300 hour mark).

Teajay,Here is a short report from the 124 hour mark. The sound has opened up considerably. It really does sound quite a bit different from the EMM/Philips combo. It is darker, softer, and each image is more closed in (soundstage dimensions are ab...
Looking for an incredibly dynamic preamplifier
Larryi,I was wondering if you had a chance to hear the Epifania and what you thought of it. I read a nice review of it by Steve Hoffman. I believe it will be available with a remote control sometime after CES.

Teajay,I'm using the Acoustic Zen MC-squared digital cable with RCA connector. I know it isn't the best. I do, however, like it better than the Cardas digital cable that I'm using on my EMM gear (surprisingly, I'm not a fan of EMM's ST Glass cable...

Branimir,You mentioned that the ARC CD7 was the best #2 sounding unit that you had heard so far. Would that include any of the following: Zanden; Audio Note; Audio Aero; or Reimyo? Thanks as always. One other poster to this thread was hoping that we...

The AA drive and DAC arrived new-in-the-box on Saturday so I will not be able to comment on it until later in the week. Teajay, how much burn-in do you recommend before doing any serious listening?
EMM Lab DCC2 & CDSD Better connection?
Dgad,Thank you for your reply. I hope to get a CDSD in very soon. I'll be sure to experiment with the cables.

Branimir,Is it too early to say how the CD7 would fit into the mix?
EMM Lab DCC2 & CDSD Better connection?
I don't own a CDSD, I'm still using the old Philips SACD 1000 with my DCC2. After a year of running the combo with the recommended orange ST Glass cables from EMM, I decided to try an AES/EBU cable (an inexpensive one from Cardas that was leant to...

Teajay,I'll start by saying that the Absolute speaker wires made a much bigger difference in my system compared with the ICs. The difference between the Absolute speaker wire and the rest of the speaker wires in the AZ line-up is huge. The ICs:I st...

The fact that the original and the copy sound different is not even debatable. Whether or not the copy is 'better' than the original, is. There is certianly more openess and better depth on the copy.Stanhifi,You should post the details of your sys...

Teajay,I've added a system link to my page.I'll let you know how things go with the AA stuff.Have a nice Thanksgiving holiday (I had mine last month; I'm Canadian).

It turns out that I will have an AA Drive1 and DAC1 mk3 in my system this weekend. I will report on how it compares to my EMM SACD 1000 and DCC2.
How come there is no thread on the RealityCheck?
Stanhifi,First up, in audio terms, $600 isn't 'serious money'.Secondly, if I didn't like the product I would have returned it to George and got my money back rather than trying to "justify my purchase by writing a rave review".
