PS audio digital link 3 or similiar Dac
Had a Benchmark, Lavry was better, Benchmark gone... tried a PS audio DLIII, was a little bit better than the Lavry, upgraded DLIII to Cullen Level 4, then much better than Lavry, Lavry gone... Just got the new Wyred 4 Sound DAC 1.. beats the crap...
Wireless Connection from Xternal HD to Stereo
Sonos would be an even better choice. Much more turnkey, better user interface. No need to become a computer geek, and Sonos has maybe the best customer service I've ever experienced. Also the Sonos with a NAS drive is designed so that your comput...
Wyred Dacs--Thoughts?
I've just gotten mine, (Dac 1). I've only had it running for a day but cold out of the box it sounded about as good as my DAC Magic..200 hours is recommended break in. Build quality is very good, it's bigger in person than it looks in the pictures...

Trying to decide between 3 amps Creek, Rega, Atoll
Thanks Br that's the kind of info I'm looking for. Proac's love tubes so SS amps that are more to the musical side of things work better. I have Proac D25's in my living room with a Plinius 9200 and that's a great combination, I'd get a smaller Pl...
New Beatles remasters
Anyone notice that the mono's are made in Japan :-) I haven't bought any of the stereo's are they US pressings or UK and are the singles a different manufacture from the stereo box set discs? In any case the monos are freaking amazing, just need t...
The Beatles albums finally all remastered
24/192 Remastering using Pro Tools, is what I read. I also read that there will most likley be VINYL
Transfering CDs to iTunes FLAC. Am I missing....?
You can also use Dbpower amp to rip files in Apple lossles and still use itunes as a music manager. And FWIW Db poweramp is a better ripper than itunes. Using DB allows one to use accurip checking and allows for secure and ultra secure rips, none ...
Speakers that mate well with Plinius 9200
I've been using a 9200 with Proac D25 sounds great. I'd bet the 9200 would also sound great driving the new Studio 140.
Best outdoor speaker
I have the Polk Atrium 60.. I was suprised how good they sounded. Mounting is key though. Try to mount them at ear level when standing, and in a corner to help bass reinforcment.
Short depth receiver or amp for bookshelf?
I use an Arcam A85 for that reason. It will allow 2 sets of speakers. If you going to use it with a Roku then you'll have acess to internet radio so no need of a tuner. I use mine with Proac Studio 100's and a Sonos with a dac for a front end.
Anyone listen to the Bel Canto e.One S300i amp???
The Portal would be the ticket except the lack of remote is a deal breaker for it's intended use.. Too bad cause it looks the shintz :-)
Anyone listen to the Bel Canto e.One S300i amp???
Thanks for your opinion Duane.. I looked at the X series unfortunatly the amp is too deep to fit on my shelf :-( As I'd mentioned it has to go into a cabinet that allows me only 13" ... The Musical Fidelity is 14.5 deep.
Cables for Dynaudio 3.4 with Plinius 9200
I love my Cardas Golden Reference, with Plinius 9200 and Proac D25
