I’m no fan of ports, if so, front only. Those speakers ought to have darn good bass without subs. Perhaps tighten the bass by closing the rear ports. Did you ever try Dynaudio’s Port Plugs? Or blocking/stuffing them yourself?Dynaudio’s Speaker Posi...
What angle should I set the VTA on my VPI turntable?

supromanI doubt it, the remote 'talks' to the same electronics the panel buttons do. If they don't work, the motors are not getting the instructions in either case.
Looking for marketing outlets for a large blues vinyl collection
I can tell you my ’selling LP’s on eBay’ experience. My original motivation was to weed my alphabetical system that got overloaded so I didn’t need to re-shuffle everything. It’s more work than you think, I stopped for a while when I went on vacat...
Heat
Theoretical, or actual amp in an attic? Summer attic temperatures are like thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhZba-P7R18Pushing hot air at a hot thing ain’t gonna do much. Attic exhaust fans can avoid extreme temperatures, but not enough IMO. A ...

Aged components / service!?
I forgot to mention, my Fisher 80Z 30wpc Tube Mono Blocks, made in 1958. Let's see, ... 63 years old, only 10 years younger than me.Checked a few times since I inherited them in 1973. A few resistors, that's it. Surprised me. They sound great. In ...
Aged components / service!?
I agree, contact someone who overhauls audio equipment, get advice and a 'guesstimate' for a normal overhaul, factor that into your decision. I love my Vintage tube tuner/preamp from mid 60's, and love it more after having it worked on recently. T...
Rear ported speakers?
I am not a fan of ports, even if far enough from walls, and if ports, front facing, not side or rear. There are a lot of speakers out there, I say keep looking.Size limitations? Budget? Are you considering used?
