Cartridge suggestions. To your point, the Transfiguration Proteus will do all you desire based on your post. Provided of course cartridge set up is spot on, your TT/Arm and phono stage are up to it, you have all sitting on a very good platform, and your phono stage has ...
TW Acustic Turntable Mat I don't see anything about a new TT mat on their FB page.
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Tdaudio, diameter is 8". Feet extend out to almost the same measurement so assume that is the footprint. The unit should sit as close to your Raven as possible without touching. The long belt is used. The feet are optimized for height with the BK ...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? I have not heard the SM in my system. I did hear it in a friend's system who has an Anniversary. It sounded good but at its price I couldn't tell you it isn't silly money. Glad it sounds good for you however. The proteus is a much better cartridge ...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Pcosta,Current Tri P and new transfiguration Proteus. Which footers are you using?I have recently purchased after audition the new HRS stainless heavy Weight. Really a step up from no weight IMO.
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Pcosta, and I purchased the 3 motor pod which was a huge step forward. A friend who also owns a Raven came over to play a couple of records and we switched out the single motor with the triple and he purchased the triple in an email he sent to Jef...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Pcosta do you have the 3 motor pod or are you using the single motor?
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Ianlane, I don't own your TT. I have a Raven which is close to Anniversary status. My bearing is still a pretty snug fit after 5 years of heavy rotation. Obviously there is something more going on with your table. I think Jeff and Thomas can be tr...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Ianlane, I'm not certain what you are saying. I never indicated that I thought you had a faulty bearing. I only thought if you had run your TT dry for a long time it could have worn down and hence your loose fit. TW designs and manufactures to a v...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? ianlane,You don't indicate if you purchased the TW new or used. Either way, if the fit of your platter to bearing is very loose it could be the result of having been played dry with insufficient lube for long periods of time. While the new heavier...
Raven turntable owners:oiling & what type? Since you aren't approaching Jeff C with this question I assume you bought used? Anyway, TW now uses a heavier lube which is sort of yellow in color and in a plastic squeeze bottle. It should last quite a while and of course the amount of TT use t...
SDS or phono stage I'm vey familiar with the SDS. I think it would make a huge difference in playback particularly if you get a very good power cord and Stillpoints to use under it. I think you would be astounded at the increased level of performance of your TT.
Looking for a phono stage to go with my system Try the AMR IPhono which costs about $400.00 new. Probably one of the big on line retailers sells it. You can Try it and return it if you aren't happy. Extremely great sound, ridiculous amounts of adjustability at this price, and it sounds good to...
Looking for Opinions on a Modded CJ PV-11 Pre Do you know if these mods were done by Bob Backert? How long ago?If they were done by Bob, the mods would be excellent. CJ sends some of their own repairs to bob because he is considered an expert on CJ electronics.
Brinkmann Bardo and Tri-Planar VII-U armrest issue Is the arm board position fixed or is it an articulating arm board? If the first I would say it has been drilled incorrectly for the arm. If the second I cannot picture why the arm rest would be in the way. Call Tri Mai at Tri P and speak to him. |
