Good site for hard to find classical used and new Choices are good, if you must have something. But a "fair" prices? Give me a break. Stick with Naxos. By you, $10,000 amp is probably a bargain!

Power and Pre amp HELP & Recommendations needed. Too many of (your) questions will be unanswered! All these questions are same as to asking this forum, what kind of furniture you ought to get! I can point you into the (right) direction by suggesting you to go tubes! Only tubes will re-create the...

How Do I Start Playing With the Big Boys and Girls For Sogood and Crazy: JCBach maybe doesn't want to be in "hi-fi heaven," he just might want "music heaven?"
Any SS class A experience to share? This is just my opinion, but you can loose a lot more than you can gain if you switch without auditioning with your speakers. I think mini utopias are too 'lean' sounding, for my taste, to match them with equaly lean amps. I do not think that ss a...
Review: Sonic Frontiers SFC-1 Amplifier Correction on the year of production. It is 1993, not 1990. I suppose 93 was the last year when SF made 'listenable' tube amps. After that unfortunately SF went to make their amps to sound more like solid state. Ala Audio Research.
Anybody used Nikko amps before? Rich, first i doubt that you have listened Nikko made in 80's like the Alpha line?! Marantz you mentioned is nice, but for what price? For $150, i doubt you can find smoother sounding amp from that era!
Anybody used Nikko amps before? I have used Alpha 230, and regretably sold it couple of weeks ago! Very smooth amp, and i cannot believe that any current models would be that much better considering the prices of the new gear. Mating it with nice pre-amp (not familiar with Nikko...
best monitor for tubes? I would look into Living Voice. No, they aren't monitors, but would take up as much as space as any monitor with stands! Eccept, if you plan to place them on the bookshelfs. Plus, you wouldn't really need a SUBwoofer.
Audiophile Artwork? Posters? Anything? If you are interested in an audiophile artwork, i can re-create anything you want on canvas. From the photograph, print or life. If you want, have your girlfriend to pose next to your rig, i'll do the painting. Reasonable!
Giving up on Power Race, and going SET? Brulee, i wish you send this exact post to John Atkinson. He is the proponent of "...good sounding must measure good... otherwise..." You know the outcomes: Kr Enterprises, PS Audio...etc.
Round 2: Tubes amps, no ss discussion I haven't yet, destroyed anyone's marriage but MINE! Twice! And i think i am well on the way to do the same thing with this (current) one. Anyway, i thought you went with Kestrels? Or you are still using the older monitors? If you are using passiv...
Round 2: Tubes amps, no ss discussion I am facing similar situation! Everything is there, sweet detailed, but it is too far out, way behind the speakers. You might not have to spend much more $ for the ** amp to get your speakers come to life?! But that will be at the expense of somet...
