Rogue M-120 I have never heard the non magnum version of the 120's but the difference between the 120 mag and the 150's is big. 150's are quieter and sound effortless compared to the 120's.Good luck.
System suggestions around $3k for 2 different spkr As you probably already know the Paradigms can be a bit harsh on the top end. Rogue M-120 Very easy. The M-120's are auto biasing. The M-150's are manual but, very easy.

How to Preserve New Shiny Banana Speaker Ends? Try one of the least abrasive Scotch Brite pads or some 400 grit sand paper. If you don't like the idea of abrasives you might try a Mr. Clean magic erasure. They have cleaned almost every thing I have thrown at them.

IMO, you already told us the short comings, placementand the room. Being in the same boat as you, in a family room with little flexibility, I am c...
Price vs. value point I think you mean Parasound not Paradigm. Although Paradigm has a sister company, Anthem, that makes electronics but, I have never seen them at Audio Advisor. The first main question is, what is your budget? List all of the components in your system...
