My battle with sibilance.
I mostly stalk the halls of this forum, but felt like adding my experience here. My previous cartridges from Sumiko and Ortofon all had sibilance issues. I noted this to be jarringly obvious on several LPs. The most obvious being a few old Tom Wai...
How to insert album cover art on music files?
I use a program called Meta. I think I paid $20 for it, but it's super easy to use and does the job. I use it to add album artwork and meta data to my wav files.
Power Conditioner Cables
I'm not the most experienced audiophile, but from what I've learned in this type of a situation the cord from the conditioner to the wall is the most important. Next would be amp then other components (i.e. sac). I had exceptional results for low ...
Moon neo 240i with 330a?
Nice! Congrats! I love Moon. I was certain I was going to stick with tube amps until I heard the ACE in my system.
Subwoofer Suggestion
@kulo  it doesn't have to be T9. Maybe go for the T7? The T9 is more than enough for my room.
Moon neo 240i with 330a?
I have the Moon ACE and love it. Almost ended up getting the 240i, but wanted the MiND2 for streaming. If I were in your shoes, I'd get the 330A. Eventually trade-in the 240i towards the 390. Then eventually trade-in the 330A for two 400Ms or the ...
Subwoofer Suggestion
I have quite a large room (28'x15x10-14', my ceiling slopes a little). I've rearranged this room a bunch of times and have had to find different places for my sub (REL T9). I only use it for listening to music (no TV). I've used the step by step s...
Are MULLARD NOS EL34s and LTA ZOTL40 REF worth the price of admission?
You should call Andy at Vintage Tube Services. He'll help you figure tube related things out.
What's next for my system?
"The Klipsch do an okay job at that but I know my Moon deserves better."Sounds like you might already know where you want to start. Find some new speakers that match well with your amp and your desired sound goal. Then utilize cable and power impr...
Are there any audiophile heavy metal reissues on 45 rpm vinyl?
My experience with heavy metal centric reissues has been spotty at best. The best sounding pressings to my ears have always been Japanese pressings. Got a few Japanese pressings of Thin Lizzy, Motorhead, Sabbath, Rolling Stones (not metal, I know,...
Educate me on music streamers, please.
@soundchasr   I have the Moon ACE with MiND2. It does not support Deezer, but it does support Roon. Good luck with your search for a perfect streamer!
Educate me on music streamers, please.
@soundchasr I agree with you. That was a nice feature with Deezer. Tidal does a thing called "Mixes for You". It automatically generates them based on what you're listening to. Unfortunately, you can't make one yourself. That's the big thing with t...
Educate me on music streamers, please.
@soundchasr congrats on your Node purchase. Looking forward to hearing about it.I don't if my experience will be helpful to you, but here goes...I used Audirvana for a while. Tried Roon and found myself going back to Audirvana a bunch. Roon's inte...
power cord with Niagara 1200
I've used the NRG-Y3, Monsoon, and Blizzard with my AQ 1200. The Blizzard has been my favorite so far. I moved from one to the other over the last year, mostly out of curiosity. None of them were disappointing. I think you'll be happy with whichev...
Vandersteen VLR CT
@glissando They definitely have the Vandersteen sound (of those speakers with the carbon fiber tweeter). I was able to hear these in relation to the 2CE SigII, 3A Sig, and Treo CT. I really preferred the VLR CTs (with a subwoofer in use) over the ...
