Record weights 'n clamps: Audible improvements ?
Yes agree, it does make a positive difference. And even if it doesn't, it sure looks pretty :)
Big Blue Tenor Sax
Excellent suggestions thus far. Grimace, if you're equally open to tenor sax work with strings - while I love trios and quartets too - may I suggest Denis Solee's materials, slow tempo standards, all in newer high quality recordings you won't be d...
Internet radio stations that sound really good
Proud to share with you all CBC Jazz - a mix of piano jazz, jazz trios/quartets, vocal jazz, and similar interests. Excellent stream quality. Also available as app for iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone. Hope you like it.
ipod as source?
Pleased to agree with Johnnyb53. I use the Zu Pivot cable when I need to take my iPod as source for some type of auditioning or demonstration, sometimes paired with a Winsome Labs Mouse that I take along too, and it never fails to astonish music l...
Advice buying a Music Server? Just Olive 4HD?
The software converts the AIFF to Apple lossless before it streams it and the AE coverts it back to 16/44.1.Herman, could you elaborate a little bit on how AE does any conversion, if any at all? AIFF and Apple LossLess are both 44.1kHz/16-bit reso...
Digital mag subscription and iPad
Here's another application for the iPad that analog enthusiasts might embrace more.
Digital mag subscription and iPad
Ck, this is what I now use the iPad for my Sonos system. Previously was using an iPod Touch which works wonderfully too. iPhone can be used as well. While I was content with the iPod Touch, I wanted something that doubled up as a magazine reader wh...
Digital mag subscription and iPad
I also subscribed thru Zinio, very nice. It's a different methodology than receiving copies in PDFs, which I think is great too as it saves archiving space in the long term. The other publications I'm interested are in Zinio so that's good. Thanks ...

Digital mag subscription and iPad
Thanks, Ck. Yes, I'm aware of the non-flash support, thank you, it's the same with the iPod Touch with web surfing. But in particular would like to know if the subscription copy fits well on the screen too.
wadia & iPod, anybody happy with it?
Jax, curious any particular reason why you're leaning towards the dock/pod solution over the NAS/server solution? I have both solutions implemented in some way and both delivers sonically and of course on convenience, with the dock/pod solution li...
Rogue vs ARC
Sorry to chime in a different light. To some degree ARC's predicament is kind of they're prisoners of their own success, they have a large installed base of products out there. Their products never die and owners keep sending them back to be resto...
What's in a NAIM?
Williewonka, are you still having this problem or have you resolved it?
Has anybody heard a decompression as good as this?
Thanks for sharing. The concept is similar to what has been done in the imaging industry over a decade ago, digital photos enlarged several hundred times (today probably several thousand times) thru advanced algorithm and resampling methods. Of cou...
