Thank you thus far. Gil Shaham also has a version of this concerto, any opinions?
Which phonostage is a heavenly match for a XV-1S
My tonearm is RCA wired but, I was wondering if the benefits of the Einstein balanced version would still be evident if I got a very high quality short Rca to Balanced adapter made. Can the Einstein accept 2 phone inputs as I have a second turntable ?

Dynavector XV-1S impressions?
Hi AxelwahlI do have a Audionote An6c step up transformer but do not really know what settings to dial it up to. How did you go about figuring it out? Thanks
Dynavector XV-1S impressions?
I will certainly try the different loading and gain settings, so thanks for the advice. Maybe I should ask this question as a new thread but what phono stage do XV-1S owners consider to give it the best opportunity to show off it's beauty. Will th...
Dynavector XV-1S impressions?
Thank you all for your responses thus far. My set up includes the Basis Debut signature turntable, the Sutherland Phd phonostage. My cartridge would only have about 15 hours of playback time so far so it sounds like I should be patient at this sta...
Butler amplifiers
Reading some earlier threads and the above contributions, one gets the impression that this amp is a good honest outperformer but not one that I should consider for an absolute high end setup . Any comments from people familiar with this amp in re...
Multichannel amp for active loudspeaker
Just for clarification, My budget is around the 8000 mark. I would be interested in demo/well cared for 2nd hand for amps that initially cost more than this so higher retail price suggestions would be welcome. From my understanding, well engineere...
Top line phono stages with at least 2 inputs
There are certainly a lot more phono stages with more than one input than I envisaged. The allnic seems to be getting alot of opinion i.e. raves and some not so impressed.Thank you all for the input so far. Any comments on the strengths of Allnic ...
The best phono stage out there?
Atmasphere, that is a very good point. To be honest, I was not aware that different phono stages could affect loudness of ticks and pops separate to their noise floor. In such a situation is the audio signal also negatively affected?? How can a am...
Orion Speakers truly great or too finicky
How big is a big room. Mine is a 5mx5m room which has a 0.5m low wooden cabinet along the wall for storage of items. Is this big enough? Thanks
The best phono stage out there?
In regards to battery powered phono stages, I would be grateful if anyone who has had a Sutherland Phd and has moved on to another phono stage could outline their reasons for doing so. Whenever the Phd gets discussed, it's quietness appears to be ...
The best phono stage out there?
Markd51, Thanks for your comments. I currently use the audionote Io cartridge with the Japanese Audionote SUT. I have not yet used the Dynavector. I will look into the high gain boards . BTW what cartridge do you use?
The best phono stage out there?
I really do appreciate all the replies. For the replies that question the value of the question, let me explain that living in Australia, there are no places where one can get presented with a range of high end phono stages to decide from,therefor...
