Volleyguy,Baked means that the oil impregnation happens under heat, so the cable is dry to the touch.

Just to clarify, the cable is "baked" for several days. It's not "oily" when the customer receives it.

I don't disagree at all, Steen aimed to take the best of the vintage technology and utilise it better. Prior to his own designs, he used vintage designs such as paper in oils, and wax/paper types.
