Headshell recommendations for AT33SA on SL1200G What is the tonearms effective mass with and without standard head shell?
Avid hifi phono stages I’ve had a Pulsus as a back up phono. Can’t ever seem to let go of it. I think Avid phono stages are better than their turntables! Phenomenal sounding and value. Need a few 100 hours before they settle in.
KT150 to KT120..or KT120 to KT150 @daveyf I listened to the Jadis DA88smkii compared to the i50. I much preferred the 88. The 88 was considerably more expensive too. It just has such a musical sound with massive amounts of density. The i50 sounded very clean and Hi-Fi. The i50 ha...
KT150 to KT120..or KT120 to KT150 Would love to know the amp designer. I have been saying the same thing but everyone seems to be on the KT150 bandwagon. Keep us posted if you give it a try. I think you are safe to swap them in your Jadis. Might just need rebiasing?
KT150 to KT120..or KT120 to KT150 Hi DaveI have had a KT150 amp on loan to compare with my KT120 amp. I prefer the KT120. There is just something about the KT150 I find too Hi-Fi sounding and cerebral.I wouldn’t characterise the Kt120 as dry at all. I think it’s a blend of a EL34 ...
Any one has experience with Sugden Integrated? I used a Sugden Masterclass SpA-4 with my Turnberry Gr and it was one of the best pairings I had.
Class A Solid State Sound George might not be right all the time, but he’s never wrong.

New Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3...anybody heard these yet? 200 hours now. Starting to open up. This is the greatest tweeter I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. Such a wide open sound and completely fatigue free. Never feelslike you’re listening to anything electronic. Very analog sounding.
Organic, musical and natural sounding speakers up to $12K Try and get the Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3 before the sell out.
New Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3...anybody heard these yet? You will love them. Still running them in. One thing that’s apparent from the outset is vocals. Every lyric is so enunciated you have no trouble following the vocalist. There were so many albums I was uncertain bout the lyrics; through the EA3 the...
New Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3...anybody heard these yet? Couldn’t resist. Have them now at home. Only 5 hrs playing. Very airy and midrange / top focused. Has a very ethereal sound. Vocals sound astonishing and tonally spot on. Completely fatigue free and has an illuminated from within sound. I think th...
New Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3...anybody heard these yet? It’s the Masterclass power amp does 20w pure Class A then goes to 75w in A/B. I took it to the dealers today and it had no problem driving them. I think these speakers will sound great with valves. I think it’s a 1st order cross over like the old...
New Sonus Faber Electa Amator 3...anybody heard these yet? I’m running a ARc Ref6 preamplifier with a Sugden Class A power amp. Still using the Kuzma TT (let’s just leave it at that 😉) |
