Recording quality effect on listening pleasure ...
you know a lot of great movies were made in black and white. Probably some of the best movies ever but I still can't watch them. I like my movies in living color. That being said, music is different. I grew up cherishing bootleg records and tapes ...

way back when I went to see a triple bill of Seals and Crofts, some guy named Springsteen and the headliner, Anne Murray. When the whole crowd left after Springsteen's performance I heard a little girl ask "where's everybody going Mommy, the shows...

It was Vince Welnick, the keybroard player from the Tubes who later joined the Grateful Dead who died.

what concerts do you wish you attended?
Sorry Dave, I didn't see your post. I did see the Pink Floyd Animals tour at Roosevelt stadium, Jersey City and I did see the Physical Graffiti show at the Garden. I saw and met Tom Waits in the mid seventies. I saw Genesis play The Lamb lies down...

Pink Floyd did not play The Wall at MSG, it was only at Nassau Coliseum on the east coast. I know,I was there.

Drubin, I made a mistake. I was thinking of the Blues Magoos. A NYC band from the same era.

Drubin, The Blues Project were great! They had a song called "Never go back to Georgia" I was 10 years old in 1966 and I knew a great song when I heard one.

Mcrheist, you certainly have no reason what so ever to apologize, in fact I too would be proud to list that as my first concert. You got to see the first celebrity to starve herself to death. Same goes for you guys who saw the Mamas and the Poppa'...

And the winner is....Blind Faith in Goleta CA WbsThere's a lot of great shows here, a hell of a lot, but seeing Blind Faith, let alone as your very first concert, well that's hard to beat.

I saw my first Dead show in 72. Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City NJ

I saw Focus as well. They played Hocus Pocus and variations of it the whole show. It was still fun. I saw the Allman Bros just when Duane died but Berry was still alive. They did not cancel the tour.
