Ortofon A90 or Air Tight PC-1
Ldorio. You have given us no help here. Since when did Michael Fremer work for Ortofon? I am asking you as a representative from Ortofon. Shouldn't you know. If you don't, ask Ortofon head office. You indicate TAS screwed up the setup of the A90. ...

Changing from an XV1-S
Hi Raul I bought an XV-1s a few years back and owned it for 6 months and preferred the sound of the XV-1, so I sold the XV-1s to a fiend of mine and bought another XV-1. I have not indicated the XV-1 having any bass problems, in fact the just oppo...

Changing from an XV1-S
I have spent 9 nmonths listening to the A90 and 9 years listening to the XV-1. The A90 is the better cartridge overall. It is more pure, less sound of its own and sounds musically more coherent top to bottom. The XV-1 has a looser bigger bass and ...

Albert Porters after market panzerholz plinths
Hi Lew I think you may agree that once you have reached a certain level of quality, all relative merits are subjective and linked directly to one's room interaction, individual components, set up, tastes etc etc. I have not heard any of the tables...
Albert Porters after market panzerholz plinths
Interesting how certain products trounce in one system and are trounced in another. One audiophile I know (outside of USA) has quite a few turntables and an extremely good syhstem. Walker Proscenium Black Diamond II , MS SX 8000II, Kuzma XL 4, MS ...
How's the Audio Research Ref Phono 2 Working Out?
Nice review Tim. Sounds tempting. I am puzzled at you loading at 47k thou. I would have thought loading an ARC at 47k would have might it too airy and bright. How did it sound lower compared to the 47k?
