Where can one purchase lead shot for speakers?
Bill, Please do not use lead. Every couple of months a new thread gets started on lead fill and people still are not getting the message----no lead. There is already a current thread on fill for speakers and stands. http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bi...
sand versus shot in speaker stands
Blasting sand is dry in the bag and ready to use. No stirring or baking is required. Elizabeth is correct. Sand is neither hydrophilic nor deliquescent. Sand does NOT absorb moisture from the atmosphere. Sand attracting moisture is another myth pe...
sand versus shot in speaker stands
Leadheads, When you sell your speakers or stands be sure and tell potential buyers that you contaminated them with a hazardous substance. Also note that when you remove the lead or lead/sand mix to make the items lighter for shipping the fill is a...
New Sason's Wow ...
Robert, Will you be exhibiting at either CES or T.H.E. Show?
How thick is the limit?... never heard anyone say?
Markphd, I think you are wrong when you say "thickness is irrelevant". Thickness will change the resonant frequency of a mass of wood. I am not saying for better or worse, just that it will change.

Anyone heard Celious Technologies 6 speakers
Where did you see information on the Cerious Technologies 6? I never heard of that model. The website only lists the Ceramic Reference, Cerious One, Cerious Too (as in also, not the number 2), and Cerious Bass.

Audiofankj, Thank you for the response.
High quality "locking" IEC connectors?
Kenobi, Those seem to be for specific molded IEC ends. Most of the heavy audiophile power cords (the ones that do not want to stay in place) have large, round ends.
Spades or bananas connectors?
I am getting increasingly frustrated (and bored) with the same topics repeated because someone was too lazy to do a search.Less than two months old:http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?fcabl&1212678607&read&keyw&zzspades
Is anyone else enjoying Monsoon desktop planars?
Are they extinct?
Beryllium-Copper: How safe?
The information about beryllium dust vs the beryllium/copper alloy is correct.Take a ride with me in my way-back machine. Decades ago when I worked in environmental control one of the sites I inspected was a beryllium smelter. I think it was the o...
They lost my amp
Phaelon, I wish you good luck. What scares me worse than shippers losing or destroying a package is losing or destroying half of a pair. Insurance for one monoblock amplifier or one speaker still leaves the owner in a bad situation.
