Any opinions on the Mcintosh Mc 402/352
Mcintosh equiment seems to get little respect here on AG,but I have owned the MC352 (bought from Audio Classics)for about four years and love it with my C2300 preamp. They sill offer NOS 352s at a very reasonable price. I dont think there's much i...

just curious. I have a DAC2 and was thinking about sending in for the upgrade. From reading I have done, I'm not clear on the difference between upgrading the old DAC2 and buying a new version. I dont think the end product is identical, but asking ...
Dynaudio C1 and voices
Did not try changing taps. Assumed 8 Ohm not a good match. Could try 2, but have done that on previous 4 ohm speakers and always found it dry.

I have been participating in this legal addiction for over thirty years. I have never seen the level of customer service I have received from Paul. He not only emailed me to answer my questions, but called as well.

I spoke to Paul at Clear Day after reading dozens of terrific reviews and will add his double shotguns into the equation. I am a big believer in room placement and will continue to play with toe in and placement today.

They do sound better at higher levels. I knew that when I bought them. I do like to listen a bit louder than most. I do mostly weekend listening and have to make the time to relax and turn up.

I have the old C1s, not the new ones. The room opens in back of me. It is a great room and effectively, this is almost near field listening.I cannot push my seating position back any more.

Thanks to all. Also have read that toe in on these speakers makes a big change, good and bad. I have played for a fed weekends with positioning and have them toed in slightly. Doesn't seem to affect voices but has made a bit of difference as it sh...

Sorry. Spell check is important. Laid back compared to B and W and Nola's.

Source is a pc running thru a W4Sound Dac 2. Voices are clear and centered but a bit layer back composited to B&Ws I have owned and moral with the Nola speakers.
Subwoofer questions -- music only
Audiofreak32:I have one REL sub and thinking of going to two. I have the REL running off my speaker leads on my Mac 352. Do you suggest running both subs off the same speaker leads or running discrete left right?
Floor Standing Speakers to Monitors and Subwoofer
Ive written before about my excperience. I sold my B&W 803S after several years and bought a pair of Nola Boxers with an REL sub "just to temporarily" have something for a while. I was astounded by the soundstaging airiness and pure ease of li...
Need Advise for open sounding monitors
I have a similar Mac set up that I had with B&W 803S for a few years. Decided to sell them. Didnt have a huge budget and by chance heard a pair of Nola Boxers that I thought were outstanding. Paid $1500. Added an REL sub and have no future pla...
Signature Anti-Cables
Stringreen:I had heard about his new reference silver ICs and called him. He did suggest his "knitted, doubled up" soeaker cable as a step up. The price is roughly $30/ft. Bought them and as reported, going through break-in.Paul reports extended h...
