The "speed meter". I suppose it looks cool, but if you read the turntable manual, you will find that you can't adjust the speed without a "special test record" and a technician.They don't give you any specs for the tonearm- no geometry or tonearm ...

If you go to the Clearaudion website, it looks like the MT-10 is a modified Avantguarde Magnum. They use the same platter. The Mac plinth is different, being of different materials with the motor housed in the assembly.Also the MT-10 cartridge has... 
Are the Nitty Gritty vacuum cleaners...
I have a Nitty Gritty. But I prefer to wet clean by hand with the MFSL brush and fluid. Then I just use the Nitty Gritty to vacuum the wet records. This produces better results for me. Have never used any other machines, so cannot comment on them.

This has really opened my eyes to all of the possibilities. Sounds like maybe the VPI is the easiest one to set up and start with?

Raul, Thanks for the heads up. This has been fun- especially learning about the Schroeder arms. That would be my top choice, but out of my fincancial league at the moment!I am curious to know of any opinions regarding the less expensive choices.

Raul, I am using a Micro-Benz Ruby 3 cartridge.Berlinta's post is most informative. Don't think I would have the capability to get a 12 inch properly set up. I guess there are those who can.
