Ozzie Ozbourne is Dead I highly recommend listening / watching Live & Loud. I have the DVD that’s turned hundreds of miles. The album and videos are also on Tidal. This is how I will always remember him. I also ordered and watched every minute of the Back To. the Be...
«40% Of Audiophiles Are Dying And No One Is Doing Anything About It!» Perhaps unintentional but I found this thread one of the most enlightening ever posted on this forum. I was amazed by how many post were relatable to my situation. I have no idea what my wife will do with my system when I get unplugged however I p...
Tweaking Your Speaker Placement I attach a string to my listening position. I then measure the inbound corners of both speakers to ensure they are the same. I then follow the same procedure for the outbound corners. This method not only provides perfect speaker distance but also...
Leaving my amplifier on ok? REL recommended that I leave my subs on continuously. I have not reached out to McIntosh yet for their advise on SS gear.
Adding an Sub that doesn't go well below speakers? First off, I'd love to hear that kit in person. Regarding the REL's, I believe those Marten's would require the speed of the S series in order to fully disappear in the mix. As an added benefit they go deeper. If you spoke with REL, which is easy ...
High end speakers at low volume A couple of REL subwoofers, connected via high level input, would accomplish exactly what your wanting to hear. They bring out the best / fullness of your system without the need for volume.
Can anyone hear the difference when you add REL subwoofers when playing two channel It is obvious while reading through this thread that some expect subwoofers to create unrealistic low-end bass that is beyond what was created in the recording; similar to a car stereo. The other half realizes that subwoofers support the system an...
Speaker recommendations :-) Seems to be quite a few Borresen fans here. Anyone own the Z1 or Z1 Cryo. Really wanting to pull the trigger on a pair for small room (13' x 11' x 9'). I’d appreciate any feedback and apologize in advance for the mini-hijack.
Demise of bass quality in Main speakers I’m of the opinion that sub(s) should not be audible themselves in the room rather they mesh with the mains to create a single sound. The reason I added a REL to my system was a search for increased fullness in the music. The primary benefit I act...
Subwoofer Choice soix 6,498 posts 03-13-2023 at 12:03am As much as I might respect Rel, I think you should take a hard look at a pair of SVS SB1000 Pro sealed subs. They’ll do 20Hz (-3dB) as opposed to the Rels only going to 27Hz (-6dB), and the SB1000s,...
Am I Better Off With Limited Low Frequency Speaker In A Small Room? I have the same size two channel room. McIntosh C-47 pre, MC152 amp, B&W 805d3 and REL T-7x. Room is GIK treated. Added the REL last and by far was the greatest improvement to overall sound; especially at low levels.
How long should speaker cables be? @ghdprentice ”In general, everything should be as short as possible” my wife disagrees. :)

The response for REL regarding subwoofers My first instinct is their response was directed towards the use of the line level output. I would think the LFE connection would provide the ability to increase bass volume although integration with the system may be more challenging. |
