| What actually determines volume power? Is it watts? My guess is that this amplifier is thinning out at high volumes and can’t keep up with the demands of the music and the speakers. | Has anyone compared the Luxman 595 and the 590 AXII? When I was at the store, I heard the 590 AX II on Wilson Sashas 1. At my home, I have the 595 on the Focal Sophia 1s. I wonder how much of a difference that would make in the mids? | |

| Do any McIntosh preamps have non digital filter for bass and treble? Naw, I mean recent models. I am sensitive to sound filters. If I wanted to go down that route, I would just get a class D. At least the MA12000 is still analog for the treble/bass. | |
