Is Audiogon worth it?
I think your concerns are misplaced. I have been on audiogon since the beginning, and as you can see from my feedback, have had nothing but success both as a buyer and as a seller. In fact, less than 1/3 of the people tend to leave feedback, so yo...
Name 3 classic mini-monitors worth keeping- Why?
Don't forget the Spicas. Such great little speakers for the time. And Fried Beta.
Best all-around cartridge for 500.00 new
I cannot recommend a classic Denon DL-103 (NOT current production!) highly enough for use in the Rega tables. Outstanding performance and a gol-darned steal. Only caveat as previously mentioned is that it is an MC with just 300uV output, so you ne...
Which FM antennae
I have one of the Audio Prism indoor tower antennas, it works great and is attractive for WAF factors, it is 7 feet tall and 12" in circumference, wrapped in black felt cloth. It has a base with optional spikes so it stands upright on the floor--n...
No Sellers willing to do COD anymore???
I have sold tons of items on audiogon, and I never do COD. There was a real scandal about a year ago here, some guy in California "bought" a ton of gear from audigon members, all expensive stuff and all "COD". He ended up being a crook with a fake...
Bear Labs compared to Say -Acoustic Zen Silver ???
Ken, I can only tell you that the Bear Labs Silver Lightning interconnects are indeed killers, I use them throughout my system. They gave the Siltechs and Wireworld Silver Eclipse III--my two favorite cables--a fight to the draw, and the price of ...
Will Lamm amps drive power hungry speake
He said he needs gobs of power, the 9Ti's will run circles around any Lamm amp if gobs of power are needed. You are obviously a troll jtinn. What's the matter, did Vladimir not give you your "dealership" you were trumpeting? You know, how you brag...
Will Lamm amps drive power hungry speake

Tuners: Accuphase T101 vs Audiolab 8000T
Accuphase T100 is one of the truly great analog tuners of all time, certainly (along with Yamaha CT7000) the greatest tuner ever made in Asia. They just don't make them like that anymore. It is not the best in terms of selectivity or sensitivity--...
Has anyone heard the new LAMM L2 preamp?
The number of people that have stories to tell with the Aesthetix gear is more than one jtinn.....
Has anyone heard the new LAMM L2 preamp?
tgraaf, I believe Vladimir is coming out with his own phono stage in the very near future, you might want to look out for this! In the meantime, I've been using the EAR 834P with great success, I believe Vladimir has used this with his electronics...
Has anyone heard the new LAMM L2 preamp?
Forget the Aesthetix junk, unless your idea of fun is to play "find the bad tube" once a week. Friends that have owned them say these things are a NIGHTMARE to deal with. Stick with Lamm preamps when using their amps or you're short-changing yours...
If you knew then, what you know now...
That's easy Sean--don't assume that more $$ equates to better sound. And don't assume that if you like component X from a certain manufacturer, you'll like their more-expensive component Y even more. In my experience at least, it turns out to be t...
FIM silver speaker cables
I thought someone had posted awhile back that the construction quality of the FIM cables was, shall we say, less than rigorous? Not true? Just curious, not trolling...
Any good cheap integrated amps?
I agree, hard to go wrong w/NAD integrateds for budget systems, I use a C350 as well for my home office system. Denon DCM-370 disk changer, vintage Kenwood tuner, and a Sony satellite receiver, little 20" TV, older Energy Pro .5 monitor speakers, ...
