Speaker earthquake protection and isolation You could try adding spikes to the bottom of the Corian. If you place the spikes as close to the corners as possible, you've still got the larger footprint you were after. I don't think the change in the height of the center of gravity will matt...
Firefox freezes when using Audiogon @bombaywalla Good news indeed but I assume that it doesn't solve your initial problem with Firefox. If anything else occurs to me, I'll let you know.
Do you rely on RAID as your NAS backup? As has been pointed out above, RAID is good for some things but not a complete disaster recovery solution. I definitely agree with @almarg (not unusual) about the time to recover your backed-up data from the cloud. RAID (not RAID 0) is good for ...
Firefox freezes when using Audiogon @bombaywalla you're not alone. I've cleaned up lots of machine for friends and colleagues. The worst one I've seen to date had over 9,400 suspicious items according to Malwarebytes. This was also a situation where a grandchild was playing numer...
Ortofon 2M Black? @bc5k - A little off-topic but I had Koss CM1030s that I bought back in the 1980s. I still think they were great speakers that never got the traction they deserved. I bet yours sound terrific with the updated components. I sometimes wish I stil...
Firefox freezes when using Audiogon @bombaywalla - Like Al, I've never had Firefox pop up and ask/warn me to install a security patch. Quite a while back they switched to "silent" updates that only manifest themselves as a slower load time while the update is installing. Also like...
Firefox freezes when using Audiogon Like Al, I'm using Firefox 44.0.2 with no problems. Also using uBlock Origin like @tls49. You can try starting Firefox in "safe" mode. This will temporarily turn off all extensions and plug-ins. You can get more information here. Dick
Servers: Are we there yet? Yes, but I wasn't referring to streaming. I'm talking about the music that is now stored on the server's hard drive. It cannot be accessed without a working Ipad and a wireless network. If my wifi is down, the server is as dead as a doornail.Ye...
Servers: Are we there yet? I don't believe that the N100 has wireless capability. It has a gigabit ethernet port instead. I think it's more correct to state that many music servers require access to the internet to utilize them to their fullest.@pasg, what high-end serve...
New Member Needs Help Golftime - I noticed that a user above offered to bring over some of his equipment if you were interested but the likelihood that you're in the same area is remote. However, if you were to post your location there might be members here that would...
New Member Needs Help In addition to giving the system some time to settle in, I would get some good contact cleaner and clean all the connections from the power cord to the speakers. If the system has been connected for a while you might be surprised at the change. Ox...
Bass is not enough !!! Speaker problem? Speaker cable? Power Amp? PC of Power Amp? lak makes a good point. Even if you check your wiring and everything looks correct, one of the speakers could be wired out of phase internally. Swap the + and - on ONE of the speakers (either one is fine) and see if things get better. This is l...

New format, dislike..... Kal, I agree with dtc. Your departure would be a huge loss for all of us. I'm one of those "old farts" that doesn't like change. That said, I've found myself adapting to the new format and it's beginning to grow on me. I'm sure I'm not alone i...
New format, dislike..... I really like the last response date/time they added on the My Discussions page. I don't have to look at every discussion to see if there's anything new. Thanks Audiogon! |
