All Hail the meek --yet mighty – NODE 2i
Have often wondered if one of the more expensive streamer options would sound significantly better than my Node2i.  Seems lime the contenders are all $2000 and up.  I’ll probably upgrade the Node power supply via PD or LHY just to try and squeeze ...
Home theater system with ProAc Response 1s?
I agree with Bucanero that your budget will not give you a system worthy of your ProAcs. One key-get the ProAc center channel speaker to match your 1s pair so that the fronts all match sonically. (I actually have one I can sell you, or else it's g...
Any small monitors that dont sound thin and bright
Finally broke in my new pair of Role Audio "Discovery" minimonitors, and they are sounding great. It took over 100 hours for the top end to open up. I was going to send them back, but then it happened, and was worth the wait. Have not heard anothe...
DLP projectors
The "hot list" among dlp shoppers right now seems to consist of the Sharp 9000, the Marantz (#?), the Sim2 Seleco HT300 and the forthcoming Dwin Transvision 2.
Opinions on Rotel RSP-1066 & RMB 1095 & B&W Matrix
Don't know about your speakers, but I'm waiting for delivery of the same Rotel pieces. Excellent choices! I'm sure the 200 watts per channel are enough to drive most anything.
PlayStation2 as budget DVD source: why/why not?
I have a PS2 and have watched some DVD movies on it. The picture quality is just not as good as my (cheap) Pioneer 626 DVD player. If you can spend another $200 or so, go for the dedicated DVD player. A friend of mine just bought a Panasonic RP56 ...
Best way to organize 6000 albums?
Have to agree that first breaking up by genre is critical, and then for me, alpha by artist name within each genre.
Home Theater PC?

Jazz Recommendations
Since historical recordings have been pretty well covered, here are some recent favorites, and I listen to a lot, so these are real standouts, IMHO ;-) Pat Martino: "Live at Yoshi's" (smoking guitar/organ combo).Marty Ehrlich: both "Song" and "Mal...
Best tiny speakers up to 1000 ?
Here's some more info to go on... Speakers are placed on a seven foot wide shelf above the kitchen windows, with about six inches of clearance to the ceiling and six inches of depth. Wife will not allow any other placement. Hey, it's only the kitc...
Where can I buy Monitor Audio speakers on the web?
I'll jump on the "don't buy anything without listening first" bandwagon. I listened to so Monitor Audio silver speakers and was shocked at how awful they sounded. Bright to the point of hurting. So......go listen to what your local dealers carry a...
Whats the best Small speaker thats cheap
In your price range, I like the Tannoy Mercury mx 1 ($270) or mx2 ($370), the Tannoy Revolution 1 ($500), the Triangle Titus ($500). Try to find a dealer and take a listen. I have NHT Super Zero's in my kitchen (space limitation issue) and like th...
Audiophiles - Your Favorite Food??
