Who are the Stand Up Guy's and Gals in this Audio Industry?
+1 for Mark Schneider of Linear Tube AudioWalter Liederman of Underwood HiFi, Living Sounds Audio, etc.
CEC - how are they these days?
I second bigkidz’ vote for the Pro-Ject.  Check out the recent threads, including Teajay’s.
pro-ject cd box rs2 vs jays audio cd2 mk3
Jaymark, I have the LTA power supply and am very happy, but I haven’t compared it with the Pro-Ject power supply.  I believe that Terry / Teajay may have compared the power supplies.  Check out the thread he started a while back on the CD Box RS2.

In regard to the discussion of noise issues with the Pro-Ject, my experience has been that it is dead silent.  This is both in terms of the mechanism (eg, with some other players I could hear the disc spinning if I got close to the player) and the...

musichead, I've had mine for several months and have had noises with noise.  Very happy.  I was using optical and switched to AES/EBU and am pleased with the improvement.  There's a short discussion above about AES/EBU cable options.  Alas, I can'...
Anyone hear Jay's Audio cdt2-mk3 vs mk2?
Wig, are you using the Qstab on your Pro-Ject CD Box RS2 T?   I found the magnet to be alarmingly strong such that it moves the internal chassis.  Any thoughts/solutions?

@pguezze mine is 1.5 M, based on what I read here (likely the same threads you found).  I usually go as short as possible, but made an exception.  It's possible teajay or someone else has compared the WireWorld with the Black Cat and will chime in.

pguezze, from teajay earlier: "First, disc I highly recommend you try the Black Cat Digit 110 AES/EBU cable that retails for $875. It's my reference cable and competes with much more expensive models."  That has been seconded in this thread.  I en...

kully560, ...or LTA will!jriggy and teajay, thanks for the Black Cat rec.  I'll check it out.  I'm running the Pro-Ject into the DAC in my integrated with optical, and am expecting (hoping) that the AES/EBU will be an improvement.

Hey all, I'm looking for a 1.5M AES/EBU cable to run from the Pro-Ject transport to my integrated amp.  My budget is up to USD1000, with the ability to stretch if there's a great reason to do so.  Any thoughts?  Digital cabling is new territory to...
Meridian 508.24...sound compared to newer players
If you have a DAC that you like, I strongly recommend the Pro-Ject RS2 CD transport at just under 3k. I’ve had several different players, including Meridian and Oppo, and prefer it by a mile.  But it’s a transport, not a player, so may not be what...

in_shore, the Pro-Ject runs into the DAC of my Boulder 866 via Wireworld Supernova 7 optical or Cerious Graphene Matrix digital coax. I think the coax sounds a bit better, but it's close.  A friend prefers the optical.  charles1dad, LTA has been g...
Why does a dent to a tweeter not affect sound quality?
Or you could use a canister vacuum cleaner without the attachment.  That worked like a charm for me.  Turn it on from about a foot away and slowly move it closer, until the dome pops out

I've been listening to mine with a new LTA power supply (LSA is two blocks away from me, so...).  Five days in, I'm very happy with it.  I'd echo kully560's comments above.  In particular, vocals seem more raw and true to source, as do guitars.  I...
