@ghasley Apologies for the late response, I forgot that this site does not provide e-mail updates for thread activity (at least for me).I'll be using the Z10 in my living room system:Speakers, Cain and Cain Abby (single driver, crossover-less)Digi...
Review: Linear Tube Audio Z10 Integrated Amplifier
Thanks for your review!I've got a Z10 on order with the phono stage. Really looking forward to getting in my main system!
24 fps or off?
"24fps seems pretty low. Are you saying a TV that is able to display Blu Ray quality resolution may have trouble with 24fps?"Yes, you are confusing HT with computer graphics.  Most (basically all) films are actually shot at 24 fps.  To display the...
Arcam 600 Amp---seeking high end DVD player that interfaces well---possible?
Maybe you could explain in more detail what exactly is your problem? Are you looking for a new DVD player?  Or a new Blu-ray player? Also, I'm trying to understand your system.  You seem to have a 7 channel AV receiver, a 2 channel power amp, a 2 c...
Ok, need help..losing my mind..
You must have a DAC of some sort between your music files and your Maple Tree pre-amp. It would make more sense to connect the DAC directly to the Denon (could be either an analog or digital connection), than what you appear to be trying now (conn...
Need computer audio advice.
Moving all your audio files to an external drive as you propose will work fine, and will not sound any different than what you are doing now. You may as well get a 3 TB or larger drive, as they can be found for around $100 or so.
easy way to play itunes library on Oppo 105 player
Since the Oppo 105 has digital inputs, perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to connect your computer to the Oppo through one of these (either USB or optical). You would then select the appropriate source on the Oppo, and use iTunes on the comp...
new processor decision....help me decide
Bill please disregard my first post (if it actually shows up before this one), I wasn't thinking correctly. If you connect your OPPO to the processor via RCA/coax, then you cannot use the OPPO for decoding multichannel HD audio, which must be done ...
new processor decision....help me decide
Bill, if this is not yet clear, should you wish to use one of those processors for room correction, then you cannot use the OPPO for decoding/processing. Similarly, if you want to connect to the processor with HDMI or RCA, then you also cannot use...
What Difference Will A 4k Capable DVD Player Make?
Elizabeth is correct, it doesn't matter that she said "TV" instead of "projector". Both are digital display devices. Most likely your projector will not even be able to accept the 4K output from one of the new Oppo players, or any other 4K source....
Coax to Optical Converters Anygood?
Rodge-- Milk toast diatribe? Good one. Well at least it was short. But seriously, and in deference to your 25+ years of experience, without further qualification, your original question frankly made it seem like you didn't have much experience with...
Coax to Optical Converters Anygood?
With so many DACs available across all price ranges, why are you looking to purchase one that lacks the functionality you require? No matter how well implemented, adding another conversion to your signal does not seem like a good idea.
Movies/TV Shows Look like Video
Guess I wasn't quite with it yet this morning, pretty funny!
Movies/TV Shows Look like Video
Elizabeth- I don't think this problem has much to do with Edge Enhancement. What produces the "soap opera/video/cartoonish" appearance in newer LCDs and LED/LCDs involves how these displays combine frame interpolation with their higher refresh rat...
Intelligability Problem
As other have suggested I would check:1) The set-up parameters of the center channel in the Denon2) Use a different input/channel of the Denon for the center to see if it a problem within the Denon specific to the center input you are using (e.g. ...
