speakers for classical music
IMHO, Sonus Fiber and VA are from the same school. At your price point you should listen to both, IMHO. I, obviously, prefer VA, but I can see what others see in SF.Dave

Mrtennis, I'm surprised to hear someone that loves "classical" music that puts dynamics as the last priority. I too need correct timbre, or I can't listen. Still, classical music is BY FAR the most dynamic music in my wide ranging collection (abou...

I love most kinds of music, but listen to tons of classical. (Symphonic, like Mahler's 6th last weekend, chamber, wind ensembles, solo piano, solo cello, etc.) I play trumpet in regional community orchestras and lead trumpet in a big band, as well...

Mike, there's lots of good beer in Colorado. We'll have to find some and clear our ears.Yeah, I talked to Jonathan last night and he seems to be aiming for the next CES and then returning to RMAF in '09.Dave
What Solid State PreAmp?
The Jeff Rowland Design Group competes with all the preamps you've listed and only costs $2400. Look for the reviews around A'gon. It's too new for the paper mags.Dave

Rowland PC1 PFC on Capri pre early findings
Guido, have you ended up keeping a PC1 in front of your Capri, or are you still undecided.A friend has two 501s with a PC1 for each and, after our visit to JRDG last week, he's getting in a Capri. We're thinking that he might be better to drive bo...
