Any Quicksilver MX-190 owners here?
You're right that it doesn't need to be identical, but it does need to be OFF/ON/ON, which is extremely uncommon in any switch, let alone a rocker.
Any Quicksilver MX-190 owners here?
Thanks. Yep, I've searched Digikey and Mouser. And Newark, Arrow, etc. The specific OFF/ON/ON configuration I need is not in the usual parts places. My best chance is going to be to find out who the original manufacturer was and try to track it do...
Any Quicksilver MX-190 owners here?
Not really. It was the early to mid 80s.

The original switch is MIA from this amp. The manufacturer and part number is what I hope to get from an MX-190 owner who can take a look under the front panel.
Repair Vintage Bang &Olufsen ?
Soundsmith didn't design B&O cartridges in the 70s. B&O designed their own cartridges back then. What Soundsmith did was buy the rights to reverse engineer the MMC design from B&O and manufacture their own versions, which is what they ...
SIMPLY AMAZING: Coda Technologies 07x Preamplifier
I have an older Coda CLX pre and couldn't be more pleased with it. FWIW.
Tonearms: Ripoff?
I never post, just lurk. Multiple people have noted that this is a troll thread, and yet folks keep banging their heads against the wall trying to win an unwinnable argument with the OP. I dare you all to stop posting in this thread. Betcha can't ...
Which used preamp for Halo A21, under $1,000?
Not much has changed in my system since my last post, so I don't know how helpful I can be. Other than the addition of the Coda CLX, I've just put the A21 on a maple amp stand with Dayton Audio spikes between the stand and the floor, and replaced ...
My Audio Research experience
Certainly appears that knghifi invented that supposed quote of thazeldean saying he bought the amp used.
Please assure me I'm not going to burn my house down.
You should use it. You're confident you've done your homework and feel that no one has raised any good arguments that it's unsafe. So why keep beating this horse?
QUALITY AND SECURITY OF "LITTELFUSE" PRODUCTS
This has been a very useful thread. And by that I mean the parts about using Littelfuse fuses and why I won't have to worry about which way I put them in. Geoff actually did the most to convince me that fuse directionality is a myth, and for that ...
Replace Kimber 4vs with...?
Thanks for the perspective Zd542. Brauser: I'll be running 10 feet biwired.
Replace Kimber 4vs with...?
Somewhere I read that the 8TC can be a bit "harder" in the midrange than, say, the 8VS. Does that jibe with the experience that any of you have had?
Replace Kimber 4vs with...?
Thanks Mcslipp. Do you mean 8TC? I couldn't find 8TS anywhere.
Lounge LCR III vs. Lehmann Audio Black Cube SE II
I haven't listened to it long enough to give a thorough review, but so far the SE II is definitely revealing more detail than the Rod Elliott ESP-06 it replaced.
