Cube Audio Nenuphar Single Driver Speaker (10 inch) TQWT Enclosure
My first response was an unexpected sense of relief, not just a letting go of my concern over making the right choice, but a relief of years of searching for something I hoped was out there but hadn’t yet found. ... listening to the Nenuphars brou...
A philosophical question.
@tomic601  Legrand fan as well. I don't have access to that reissue / Impex remaster (via streaming).Listening to 'At Shelly's Manne-Hole' with Michel Legrand alongside Ray Brown (bass) and Shelly Manne (drums)... : )
Do I really need a separate Roon Core (computer) to use Roon Software?
@rockrider I’m not sure, in your case, how much (the degree) Roon Support will be helpful. It might be...but it’s structured for folks who are farther along in "computer literacy." There is nothing wrong about not "knowing" the ins and outs of com...

It's your path. How do you define being alive...what gives you purpose?

Comparison of latest DAC chips
suggesting that the chip is the only thing which defines the sound of the dac, [*when many other elements of the design also come into play*] Emphasis added.I have had a good R2R dac and prefer my Lumin X1 with its ESS chip@rossb   Thanks for your...
Lumin X1 or dCS Bartok
It is [a one box solution] if you are not using Roon. Tidal, Qobuz, etc. can be streamed directly. If you are already using Roon, would you not have a Roon Core already?
Lumin X1 or dCS Bartok
@grannyring   You will need to run a Roon Core into the X1.
Higher End DACs
@ufguy73  Two general principles [highly simplified] you are addressing (per your recent posts) are system wide component 'parity'  AND 'synergy.'  Since a DAC or Streamer/DAC or DAC/Pre or Streamer/DAC/Pre is upstream, you are correct to push for...
